Australian Traitors Season 2: Spoilers!! Spoilers!!

For all those who have WATCHED Season 2 on Daily Motion and wish to discuss ... SPOILERS

The ending. What a blinder Camille played! And Sam still trying to talk her out of it. I would have done exactly the same.

I can't remember most contestant's names now but it was extraordinary how every time someone suspected Sam he deflected onto them and off they were banished. I couldn't work out if he was a genius or the rest of them were extraordinarily stupid. I certainly wouldn't be pleased if that psychologist woman was my therapist, dumb to the very last moment.

Interestingly (really would recommend this podcast) she described Sam as a bully throughout the series and said it made for a difficult environment. She is quite sure this is his ‘real’ self, not an act.

She also said that neither of the men would speak to her afterwards (and months later when the interview was recorded still hadn’t.

What poor sports.

I think it really says it all. They thought she should just accept getting nothing so they could.

Just how arrogant is that? She, Annabelle and Luke had all sussed them so they can hardly say they were playing the game better.

Which podcast is it? Sounds fab.

MichaelAndEagle · 04/02/2024 10:31

One thing this series really shows is that being right and being loud about it is a death knell!

Lentilweaver · 04/02/2024 10:31

I want to make a reference to Traitors UK but not sure if everyone has caught up with it. I can say I love the good sportsmanship on there, particularly from Jaz.

I have respect for Camille. It was clear from the beginning that she was very intelligent and competent at tasks, but she pretended to be quiet and retiring so she could fly under the radar.

sashagabadon · 04/02/2024 10:33

Sarah was the strangest faithful ever. As Blake realised utterly unreliable in any plan and completely untrustworthy not because she had evil double crossing intentions ( like Sam) but because she was so easily influenced by others. She went into multiple round tables “ definitely “ going to vote X but then having her mind changed by others ( usually Sam or Blake) and voting for someone she was in an alliance with or had never mentioned!
Even Sam couldn’t believe and laughed when she voted for Liam in the final round table having been “ sure “ Sam was a traitor.
even at the fire pit bit she had no clue what was going on when they all voted her out. She had no game play at all

Lentilweaver · 04/02/2024 10:34

Sarah made Meryl from last year look like Machiavelli. It's a real flaw in the game that stupid sheep go to the end. I really liked Luke Toki.

sashagabadon · 04/02/2024 10:35

Liam was also a Wally but at least was applying his brain ( wrongly until the very end but he was under Sam’s influence)

The podcast is the Traidar. The host is Scottish but he covers the Traitors worldwide and often works with a very funny American guy who does a lot of social media on reality TV.

Edited

Thanks, off to look that up now!!

Finished this last night, overall quite enjoyed it-found the first half quite amusing and liked Luke and Annabel.
Then it just became bloody stupid with everyone all going for Sam then changing their minds in the round table talks.
Sarah was utter shite and annoyed me.
Was rooting for Gloria but knew she would go the same way as those before her.
I did feel sorry for Blake, he seemed a nice guy.(but stupid too)

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 06/02/2024 15:26

I think Sam really showed his character when he threw away the Champagne on the hiking task. He didn't want it, just wanted to reduce the money.

Harry would never.

Also Hannah from below deck proved yet again a sucker for a guy. Will she ever learn

The podcast was great

Finished NZ Traitors now. I really enjoyed it. Players on another level of intelligence to anywhere else. Had anyone watched Canada and is it any good?

I found Sam quite astounding, he was so arrogant and entitled. And the more he convinced people at every banishing, (which was just ludicrous). The more arrogant and entitled he got.

I couldn’t beleive when he was trying to tell camille that if she knew they were going to steal why didn’t she just let them have it anyway, as he’d worked so hard. No part of him thought she deserved to win any money. He couldn’t grasp they had all stayed in to the end.

luke and the blonde girl got it right , right at the beginning and even then they were all too stupid to say well if they are faithfully maybe they were right, Sam was taking one of his own out. And just kept keeping him.

it was a common theme in all the traitors. Someone believes friendship is genuine, they are a faithful and Carries a traitor to the end,

I haven’t seen NZ yet - apparently it’ll be on iPlayer soon so just waiting for that to watch it easily - but I’ve heard that some of them knew each other beforehand. I wonder if that made a difference at all?

Lentilweaver · 07/02/2024 12:31

I could do with a high level of intelligence. I did think Oz S 1 was quite good with many very clever players.

Warmwoolytights · 07/02/2024 12:33

Yep, series 1 was satisfying to watch. Series 2 really was mindblowingly frustrating.

BridgetRandomfuck · 07/02/2024 22:45

Just finished NZ as well! It was nice to have likeable, intelligent players, makes a change. They certainly had a great hit rate. Shame about the host though - I decided to look him up and he makes Jeremy Clarkson look like Mother Theresa 🤢 (not that she was squeaky clean…).

I do think it affected the game in NZ - those that were out of the friendship loops struggled a bit to connect. But it was still a good show.

Luciansmum6 · 08/02/2024 10:22

I genuinely think Sam exposed himself as a narcissist in real life at the end. I know that word gets overused but the genuine disbelief and entitlement at the end was astounding.. and that was after the game was over.. up til that point I wondered if he was just playing a good game and extremely lucky in having so many absolute bellends as faithfulls but the way he lied, schemed and backstabbed with no remorse, the way he gaslit everyone and then the reaction at the end- that attitude of it’s always someone else’s fault- is a huge red flag of someone that doesn’t think like regular people.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 08/02/2024 10:30

I thought that Sam was another Paul, playing up for the cameras. However, when Paul was outed he took it graciously and treated it like a game.

Sam was awful. He was such a sore loser. I can believe he was just being himself rather than playing a role

Samcro · 08/02/2024 22:09

Well done Camille. Blake and Sam deserved what they didn’t get

Piggywaspushed · 10/02/2024 16:50

I've just finished and I loved this series. Hated Sam and was so pleased at the end. Most of the Faithful were very stupid. Sam made Nasty Nick look like a cherub.

I hated series one though. All that strange editing out of Paul . It was clunky and the shields pointlessly protected from banishment too?

I found the first three episodes of this series weak because so much camera time was given to Ash. Once she went it was better.

Blake should have been so much better at turning on Sam but he didn't have the gumption.

Camille is my new favourite person.

Treesandsheepeverywhere · 10/02/2024 22:37

Just finished watching. Oh my gosh, such frustratingly bad faithfuls.
Was close to stopping watching but carried on with the hope the edits were setting Sam up for a big fall, and thank goodness.

The one time Sarah votes for Sam, Camille and Blake don't, yet again!
Don't feel sorry for Blake at all, he had ample opportunity to out Sam but chose to be swayed.

Sam was such a sore cocky loser, Camille deserved to be in the final as she played being a faithful so well, the traitors recruited her. Then were kept in by her.

Interesting when Sam attacked Blake at the round table, no one spoke up about how not everyone who'd voted for Sam had told Sam they would, not just Blake.

They were all so foolish and don't blame the production for fixing the win if that's what happened as none deserved to win.
Last round was a chance for Camille to leave with something, bit was never going to happen with Sam there.

The entitlement Sam felt shows what a spoilt brat he is.
Would rather Camille won and gave it to charity if she didn't need it that have Sam win it.

wubwubwub · 10/02/2024 23:46

I FUCKING LOVE CAMILLE. Sam finally gets his come uppence. Cocky little shite.
