Wasn't it just lucky that the only nurse in the whole of London was just happening to visit her Mum when all of this kicked off.
Saint Sonia to the rescue again.
Meanwhile Whitney gets yet another Great Act of Misfortune.
And Zack spends the entire episode standing around like a wet lettuce who is more bothered about his ridiculous hairdryer on wheels than a 12 year old kid.
As for the school. The head wouldn't even know that much nor discuss someone not on roll unless they were in the process of trying to enroll in the school. This kid would have been wiped off their books after two years otherwise it'd affect their stats too much. They'd just say it was a matter for social services or the education department at the local council not them.
But the script writers wanted to do an awareness broadcast on 'An Issue'. It's been jammed into a single episode rather than telling a story over time in a more realistic way and the net result is it looks and feels utter contrived and moralistic to a degree that's bad even for a soap because it's disjointed and awkward in the manner it's been shoehorned into one episode.
Obviously Whitney is going to ride off into the sunset with this kid (either with or without the baby). Zack will object and Whit will choose Council Estate Girl over him.
Yawnfest. I feel lectured to. It's a shame as it is actually a worthwhile storyline. It's just been so badly done so we can suffer months of the dreadful Nasty Nish storyline instead.
