@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain
Doesn't surprise me at all that Diane Parish is a Scorpio, Leticia is too, just like her character Sharon.
I hope Diane scoops the soap awards this year.

I’ve had to stop watching for the past week as the storyline is too ridiculous - and that’s saying something as I’ve watched EE for over twenty years!

But I saw a clip on Istagram this morning of Chelsea running into the Vic to ask people to look for Denise who had driven off. They live in London. Chelsea said she didn’t know where she might have gone. How are the others supposed to know? Where are they supposed to even start looking for Denise’s car?

Whoever wrote this whole storyline needs to just give up now!!!

Southeastdweller · 22/02/2024 11:29

The parallel with Lady Macbeth and Denise doesn’t really make sense because the controlling and cruel Lady Macbeth manipulated Macbeth into killing someone. She also (apparently) took her own life, but Denise is very unlikely to die because Diane Parish is one of the show’s ‘lifers’.

When Denise fell in the cafe grave, did we see the body or at least a body shaped covering? I realise this was weeks ago now but I’d been relegated to watching on a tablet and it was so dark and small I couldn’t really work it out.

The story line is irritating me now though.

gingercat02 · 22/02/2024 12:43

Oh, just read a fan theory that Yolande's pastor is Lucas' dad. That would make sense to me

You mean is Keanu somehow still alive and is not dead?! duff duff duff!

Yes, but Leticia has a very limited range and scope in her acting skills compared to Diane.

We never saw the body, but six people are sure they buried him and cemented over the grave, so I do think he’s dead.

Just saw tonight's episode. oh my goodness, what performances from Diane, Scott and Zaarah. How can actors switch off from such emotionally intense performances?

Bailar · 22/02/2024 20:37

A previous poster asked whether Keanu is really dead, do you remember when Kim Fox's mother in law was "buried" and then turned up a few weeks afterwards? Grin

Its the guilt talking, and driving her mad

But she didn’t kill Keanu! Such a stupid storyline.

She helped cover up a murder, I'd feel pretty guilty about that tbh!

It wasn't a murder, though, was it? Linda was trying to protect Sharon from Keanu potentially killing her!

Diane/Denise and family’s acting is amazing - my mum was admitted to hospital in a state like that and I struggled to watch her. I remember my mum shouting at the corner of the room at people I couldn’t see - and I vividly remember the day she was taken into hospital, her shouting at me that it was entirely my fault (because I was ‘an imposter’, and I’d called the ambulance). Frighteningly real depiction of delusions/hallucinations.

Albeit my mum hasn’t murdered anyone, she has a brain injury that’s caused dementia.

Hopefully she scoops some awards for that.

Meredusoleil · 22/02/2024 21:51

Yes I thought the Chelsea actress (Zara Abraham?) did a great job tonight. I think I would be thoroughly grief stricken as well tbh!

@Southeastdweller

You need to either keep your hair on, or head over to "Pedants' Corner" with this entire thread, your reaction to any post which isn't your own is so pedantic. I don't care whether Denise killed anyone or helped dispose of a body, EE is fiction !

Who’s saying I care about a fictional character? I’m just disagreeing, which I think is OK on an online forum. I would really appreciate it if you weren’t rude.

Can I join please?
Just wanted to comment on the current EE storyline, and it's similarity to the Scottish play. Lady M goes to pieces, as she cannot live with her guilt, just like Denise, Linda and possibly Sharon. Of all the six women involved, I thought Stacey would be the one to go to pieces, as she has previous MH issues. but she is bearing up well, and is the strong link, whereas Suki is a control freak, and Kathy has become a nasty, bossy b*&%h atm.
A mention also, of the superb acting of Diane Parish playing Denise, I bet she has performed Shakespeare. Her tortured features in tonight's scenes were haunting.

Diane most likely will have performed Shakespeare as she’s Rada trained.

She’s a very close friend of the actor who plays Lucas in real life (they were in Babyfathers together).

Whatever the outcome, if Diane has spare time whilst doing EE or a break I’d love to see her in a RSC production. She’s one of the very few EE that I could see potentially making it big in USA but she may have tried or not wanted it in the past. Am loving her Lady Macbeth and hope she switches off with a nice glass of red Wine after filming!

Watched the rest of yesterday’s episode yesterday. My god! Poor Amy!

Southeastdweller · 23/02/2024 09:29

I do think she was fabulous in last night’s episode. I remember her in Clocking Off, she was really good in that too. I think she won a big award for Babyfather, maybe a BAFTA.

OP posts:
StickNMove · 23/02/2024 13:33

The acting last night was some of the best I’ve seen in EE. Diane Parrish and the actresses who play Chelsea and Amy were all brilliant. Even the slightly wooden Jack was great.

Eastie77Returns · 23/02/2024 14:23

Yes Jack was better than usual. I often skip scenes with him and can’t stand his constant shouting. The SL has brought the best out of the actors.

SagaNorensPorche · 23/02/2024 15:53

Last night's episode was really good. Great acting by the Amy and Chelsea actresses, but Diane Parish was fantastic. She's been seriously underused going by last night's performance.

the80sweregreat · 26/02/2024 11:40

Today's one was a bit odd , especially Jack moaning at Ian and Cindy for talking about Denise ( it's a small community and what they said wasn't that bad ) and Amy having food delivered when they have numerous places around that sells food. !
Nasty nish is being a complete tool as per usual

the80sweregreat · 27/02/2024 12:47

Tuesdays one is on I player today but labelled up ' 29th feb ' , which is when it's on live tv
