I love how much I hate the contestants, the icksperts, the whole format, everything. Will there ever be a more cringe coupling than Gemma and Matt from last year.

But after reading some comments about the behaviour of some of the participants on CGD, I’m going to be disappointed and pissed off and fuller of irk before I even get to MAFS.

@SheldonesqueTheBstard Oh Sheldy my love, I fear you may be a tad disappointed with Vanessa if you indulge in the CGD rollercoaster. That said, I always find it quite an interesting watch from a human nature perspective. There are a lot of damaged souls in the world, but as ever we hope that love is festooned upon them and cocoons them like a favourite winter scarf.

I'm in it for the long haul now, as I had to watch something to save me from the head fuck that is Manifest.

I have started watching a little CGD recently as a warm up to MAFS - there are a lot of walls up in certain quarters and a somewhat familiar adherence to a spurious and ill-articulated checklist. Little hope of happy ever afters as far as I can tell.

TBF, sounds a lot like my approach to romance… 😂

I can see a few people I'll be rooting for and a few that will irk me the whole way through already.

I've been surprised at their success rate since they changed the format, but I think they might throw a couple of couples who have a chance in with the others just to provide a bit of variety.

On first sniff I smell cherchez la quinze minutes of fame.

And fromage. Beaucoup fromage.

A trans contestant. Will be interesting to see how that works out.

I'm hopeful. The gay couples they've had so far have all had pretty normal relationship issues and they haven't done something like try to find a homophobic fellow contestant to create excessively exploitative drama.
