Anyone watching this?
no spoilers but I’m already on episode 3 and love it!
Just George’s smile is melting me….

I'm now second guessing myself, because I could have sworn they made it obvious from the start. Does her awful mother not call her Violet at the beginning?

MakesMeFeelSad · 19/05/2023 14:40

Yes, violet clicked on to the affair when she saw the hat he'd made for lady Danbury on her mantlepiece

Yes she does

I obviously missed that 🤦‍♀️

MakesMeFeelSad · 19/05/2023 14:45

I also liked second 2 and the chemistry, the actress who plays Kate is beautiful

I'm looking forward to Colin and penelope

KillingMeDeftly · 19/05/2023 16:12

Oh is S3 Colin? I thought it would be Benedict or Eloise!

MakesMeFeelSad · 19/05/2023 16:35

Although that doesn't actually say, it has been confirmed that it's Colin and penalope

KillingMeDeftly · 19/05/2023 16:46

I find Colin the least interesting of the brothers Bridgerton.

Sunshinegirl82 · 19/05/2023 17:47

Benedict should be next if it followed the order of the books but S3 is definitely Penelope and Colin.

ToK1 · 19/05/2023 17:54

Yes. Violet is Lord Ledgers daughter but I didnt take the hats as a sign she approved.

I took the opposite.

She was telling her she knew and she wasn't happy but Lady D talked her round I think.

Popuppilot · 19/05/2023 18:03

It's hard to know when no one says anything directly! That's part of the fun though x

Just finished the last episode, I'm really disliking the fact that we didn't find out what happened to Reynolds! I absolutely loved his character and storyline. Are we supposed to infer that something bad happened to him, or that he carried on serving the king but he and Brimsley were forced apart with the king and queen living separately?

I think it’s the second one, the scene where she asks if he married and then he says everyone lives for the king, but he is with her - that’s what I think is saying what happened.

RandomUsernameHere · 20/05/2023 07:08

@tabulahrasa ahh yes, thank you! That makes sense now

Newnamenewname109870 · 21/05/2023 21:44

I wonder when the king and queen started living separately. I was so sad for George (and Charlotte). What a time to be mentally unwell. 😢

midnightblue12 · 22/05/2023 11:32

@RandomUsernameHere @tabulahrasa
I do wonder if it's something they will address in Bridgestone future series?
I wonder if we will see him again when we see more fo George and Charlotte?

RandomUsernameHere · 22/05/2023 20:12

@midnightblue12 I hope so! I found it strange that there wasn't an "old" Reynolds in Queen Charlotte, feels like something was missing. I think he should have featured in the scene where they lie under the bed!

MeinKraft · 24/05/2023 00:18

I also loved it and cried at the ending. George had a beautiful smile didn't he. It was amazing how the young actors playing Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury managed to mimic so many of their characters qualities. Nice to see Lady Danbury get a proper storyline too. I felt she was shoe horned into S2 and found it quite annoying actually that she kept popping up when she hadn't much to do with the storyline.

Sunshinegirl82 · 24/05/2023 09:21

In the books Lady Danbury features a fair bit in Colin and Penelope's story so I'm interested to see what they do with that in Season 3.

MiniCooperLover · 24/05/2023 09:24

I read an interview with the actors playing Reynolds and Brimsley yesterday and "Reynolds" said there had been a scene at the end where the older they would walk past each other when the Queen went to see King George (at the end) but it got cut and was never filmed so Reynolds is "about" apparently. But they aren't together which is desperately sad.

queentim · 29/05/2023 05:35

I would absolutely love a Season 2.

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 31/05/2023 09:14

Late to the party, but LOVED this series. Finished it last night and cried at the last scene under the bed.

mondaytosunday · 31/05/2023 13:09

Oh I assumed Reynolds had died. I like that idea better rather than they are no longer together.

jay55 · 31/05/2023 13:58

I choose to believe he died, and so the dancing was with his ghost.
