Priam "I thought it was very interesting that in the recap we say Cathrine saying that TLR is not Ryan’s dad. I’ve always taken that to mean that he might be his biological father but he isn’t a dad to him. I wonder, like was said on the last thread, if he isn’t actually his father."

I was wondering if Alison's boy was Ryan's bio dad.

amprev · 29/01/2023 23:50

I dont see the relevance of the neckbeard story at all. I know Pfizer links it to the criminal gangs but I'm keen to know how this is going to be wrapped up. Feels like we need another 3 episodes.

Babyroobs · 29/01/2023 23:51

Sorry my memory isn't great from previous series. Can anyone explain who Nev is, is he a relative or friend of Catherine's ?

Anne’s dad. Anne who was kidnapped for ransom and raped by TLR.

CuriousMama · 29/01/2023 23:53

I've spotted Ann, TLR and Ryan so far.

EsmaCannonball · 29/01/2023 23:53

Nev is Ann's father. He's a wealthy business owner and Ann was kidnapped for a ransom in the first series.

MoirasSaggyBundles · 29/01/2023 23:54

Nev is Ann's dad. She was kidnapped by men hired by Nev's employee in series 1. She was held by TLR and associates. I think Nev and Catherine went on to date maybe?

FlyRobinFly · 29/01/2023 23:54

I find Claire fascinating to watch because my sister is just like her. Means well but a bit wishy washy and gets things completely and utterly wrong. Her children have mental health issues and she handles it awfully causing them more trauma. It’s frustrating and I get Catherine losing it.

Thanks.

My niece has a psychosis condition and my sister doesn’t believe the diagnosis and thinks it’s just stress from work and she needs to have a little holiday, sorry going OT but she is literally just like Claire. Does everyone know a Claire? She’s such a believable character.

Anyway, that’s enough musing for me tonight!

Has anyone watched this? SW wrote it and just look at the cast.

I've just bought it. You can all come t mine after HV and watch it 😂

OMG!

TLR in a chintz bedspread and a cellular blanket 😍 not quite as hot as the cycling gear but I still would

Ew - all yours. In cycling gear he looked like every Surrey dad I know who leaves therir wife lookijg after DC all weekend to pedal up Box Hill. He looked so very middle class. I still think brilliant and talented as he is, JN is rubbish casting. He looks so healthy and wholesome and his eyes are so gentle. He has never not looked like a nice public school chap playing oiks for larks to me.

Yes I have a friend like that. Very naive.

Yeah he was so unconvincing in that bit. Rich and posh and wholesome. I was a bit like…eh because usually he looks like a psycho.

I watched this. When I saw an outside shot of Daniel and Anne's house in this series, I was driving myself mad trying to think of where I'd seen it before and it was in To Walk Invisible (which is well worth a watch.) Anyone local know where it is??

I just feel like they've made Claire really do a u turn in this series. I keep wondering if she's been threatened in some way.

Ooh no, he was terrifying in the early eps of season 1.

Says filmed mostly in Haworth Bronte country.

EsmaCannonball · 30/01/2023 00:06

I mean, if I were to go on the run I'd try not to look like my normal thuggish self. Wasn't that half the point of the court-friendly haircut?

I agree, he's really been able to show his talent in this role. He is gorgeous, but other roles he has been in haven't done him justice. This one has. And he much more looked the part when his forehead was newly stitched.

CapturedLeprechaun · 30/01/2023 00:08

PrincessScarlett · 29/01/2023 23:16

Darius looked proper pissed when TLR said he was going after Catherine.

But TLR didn't say he was going after Catherine. In the whole conversation he said he wanted to get revenge on "that policewoman". Could it not be Ann he wants revenge on? And they're fooling us because we all assume it's Catherine but he wants to get Ann? Because TLR would know that would hurt Catherine more than going after her directly anyway

MoirasSaggyBundles · 30/01/2023 00:17

Good point. Didn't Ann save Catherine's life/take out TLR?

foxlover47 · 30/01/2023 00:25

@CapturedLeprechaun that's my thought when he said that because he would
Prob be fuming Anne is now a police officer too wouldn't he and everyone would
Presume he means Catherine
But surely
He would
Know that hurting Catherine would turn Ryan against him so
Could
Be a twist there

foxlover47 · 30/01/2023 00:26

And I thought he looked really
Menacing when Darius laughed that he had never been abroad before

Notsurenotquiteright · 30/01/2023 00:27

Not the most interesting episode tonight and felt a bit annoyed with the way TLR said telephone,
very exaggerated and drawn out.
I know us Yorkshire folk often sound drawn out but not to that level
