I think Joyce is a baddy. Is in on the drugs ring somehow.

Weird there's just been no mention of Daniel's little girl, she will be about 8 now I think 🤔

@WouldJudasLeaveIt I was going to post about this, whats happened to his daughter? Or was her implying when he said about Neil "Someone he knew for the first 14 or 15 years of their life" that he doesn't actually know anything as he doesn't see his own child?

Faisal and Joanna 😂

You lot all know that the whole thing with the police officer and the alien in Todmodon is ‘real’ don’t you? Well, the policeman thought it was real anyway.

Ruined his career apparently

Tilllly · 16/01/2023 22:23

EsmaCannonball · 15/01/2023 23:38

Hmm, Jo said she'd lost contact with her parents because horrible PE teacher didn't like them. Could Joyce be her mother? It wasn't picked up at the police station because of the different surnames?

Maybe we are all reading too much into it?

I think we are, yes

And there's usually a bland episode, setting the stage for eruptions
It'll all come together...

"Did anyone recognise the actor who came to the house where the bundling criminals were and told them they had to kill the one who was holding the blind woman captive."

I can't figure out where from, but I definitely recognise him

Sex education?

Remember in s2 they had a bit of a row after a night out, she bought Catherine a cactus after?

Was that all about Catherines nickname (Bonehilda I think it was?).

Maybe Joyce is marrying the gang man?

Windywuss · 16/01/2023 22:33

Can't keep up with all posts, so sorry if someone's said it already... But how come Ryan managed to visit Tommy if there's a court order preventing contact? Wouldn't rh re be checks?

JaneJeffer · 16/01/2023 22:33

Maybe Joyce is marrying the gang man?
Grin that would be hilarious

midsomermurderess · 16/01/2023 22:42

The order lapsed.

I think Vile Teacher is grooming vulnerable boys to sexual abuse.

His wife said he gets particularly unpleasant and on edge until he has another boy in his sights.

I thought grooming with last episode too

AlhambraQueen · 16/01/2023 22:54

@Tilllly I thought he was the actor who played the main boy in ET - Elliott but its just his doppelganger

flumposie · 16/01/2023 23:39

Just watched the first 3 episodes. Just wow. Love spotting areas used for filming. My elderly Mum lives in Queensbury ( it's actually a nice area) , think I've seen police officer there in 15 years 🤣

Brunhilda lol

@Windywuss the court order expired 18m before

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 17/01/2023 00:38

@UrsulaPandress I think Ann and Daniel's house is the house Caroline (Sarah L) moved to in Last Tango after she finally sold the family house.

I also think that the farmhouse Alison lived in in HV series 2 is the same one 'our Gillian' lived in in Last Tango and the one Siobhan Finneran lived in in Unforgiven.

ScissorsPaperStone · 17/01/2023 02:30

@ilovebrie8 I think this is the brief series 1 and 2 catch up I posted in the last thread. I can't check it as dh is asleep next to me! I know it was the BBC one on YouTube anyway.

ScissorsPaperStone · 17/01/2023 02:33

Ooh why hasn't it gone picturey? Trying again.

Supersimkin2 · 17/01/2023 06:47

Cows.

Not lifted by aliens, herd moved by the Kinesovics dumping a dead body and/or contraband.

Windywuss · 17/01/2023 06:53

QueenSmartypants · 17/01/2023 00:34

Brunhilda lol

@Windywuss the court order expired 18m before

Ah... missed that 👍

Snugglepiggy · 17/01/2023 07:42

I too thought that Ann and Daniels house looked very familiar and a lot like the one in Last Tango.I rewatched it all fairly recently as needed a fix of northern humour.I don't think the farmhouse season 2 is 'our Gillians '.There are lots of these old farms around and I recognise so many locations.Adds even more to my enjoyment of this superb drama.

MetaDaughter · 17/01/2023 07:51

Ah …

I had serious house envy through Last Tango in Halifax. Every place more beautiful than the last. I spent so many hours thinking how I’d do up Gillian’s farmhouse and gasping at the luxury of Caroline’s family house kitchen.

But oh, the windows in Daniel and Ann’s fixer-upper. The way the light danced in …

AlmondBake · 17/01/2023 07:59

Did anyone recognise the actor who came to the house where the bundling criminals were and told them they had to kill the one who was holding the blind woman captive.

Anthony Flanagan. I didn't watch it, but apparently he was the policeman in Shameless. And obviously lots of other things people will recognise him from.

PuttingDownRoots · 17/01/2023 08:00

I'm guessing Neil and Claire have a back to back terrace if its 1 bedroom?

NoWrecksToday · 17/01/2023 08:08

The scene with Catherine and Claire, all tightly contained anger and despair, in hushed voices in the coffee shop was brilliant. The tension!

I think the sky diving is significant. TLR (Telephone in Lower Regions) is teeing Ryan up to book a plane flight. Then he’ll kidnap Ryan, steal the plane and head for Spain.

I don’t think TLR is remotely interested in Ryan for any other reason that exerting power over him and the family. His gaining access to vulnerable Ryan is purely manipulative.

MarshaBradyo · 17/01/2023 08:29

The acting is incredible
