Who will be victorious?

OP posts:

I doubt the winners shared the money with the eliminated Faithfuls.

SnowlayRoundabout · 08/01/2023 13:46

I wonder how Amanda's clients at the Estate agents feel about the fact that she has shown herself to be such a good liar?

CoffeeBoy · 08/01/2023 14:01

Is there an American version of this called Survivor as well as the Aussie one?

billie Elish sings about watching them all betray each other while watching Survivor on tv in a recent single. I guess she might have been watching the Australian one but she’s American isn’t she?

KatherineJaneway · 09/01/2023 14:41

There was a TV show called Survivor, maybe she is referring to that.

The American one starts on Thursday I believe.

Penguinsaregreat · 09/01/2023 21:08

Snowlay I have always took what estate agents say with a pinch of salt, rather like used car salesmen.

gorillalala · 12/01/2023 01:23

Hi guys, I’ve watched the UK one and am nearly at the end of the Aussie one (thankyou to those who posted the link), and I’ve been thinking about something.
I wonder if anyone else has wondered the same thing…

No spoilers here, just theory.

So each morning, the last two people who haven’t yet made it to breakfast are always two that have been debated to maybe be murdered the night before by the Traitors (excluding any unusual episodes where no murder takes place etc).
And then whoever walks in last, is one of them, and the one who doesn’t make it has been murdered.
Obviously this is done for the benefit of the TV audience - to keep us guessing right to the last minute as to who was murdered.

But surely they have to change that up for subsequent seasons - otherwise anyone going on the show itself will know that the last person who actually makes it to breakfast was a murder candidate, and therefore can’t be a Traitor?

ratatattatt · 12/01/2023 06:11

Yes, that's right. It's been discussed uothread or maybe on one of the previous ones. They'll have to change it for the future

ellebelli · 12/01/2023 09:50

Didn't Ivan mention it?
I think it's probably filmed out of sequence and then we see it that way for the suspense so I doubt it matters to the actual players.

But quite often there's a discussion where they say something like "it's Fred and Mavis who haven't come yet, it must be one of them". If they filmed it out of sequence and actually Fred came in earlier, that wouldn't make sense.

He did, and he said nobody twigged at the time that the last two down were always Faithful. They'll need to switch that up for next time.

ellebelli · 12/01/2023 10:50

Ah OK well that won't work at all on future series.
Can't believe none of the traitors feom either series worked that out if it was filmed like we saw it.

ReneBumsWombats · 12/01/2023 10:52

I expect that in future, they'll switch up the order they come down and then just use clever editing to hide it. No full room shots before the last two and ambiguous comments etc.

ellebelli · 12/01/2023 10:57

Yeah or They could just do a paul!!(maybe wrong thread but think most of us have seem the Australian one)

ReneBumsWombats · 12/01/2023 11:00

I haven't yet, no spoilers in this thread please!!!

ellebelli · 12/01/2023 13:42

Ah don't worry @ReneBumsWombats it's definitely not a spoiler.
Watch it though I think you will enjoy(it really grips towards the last few episodes! )

MillicentTrilbyHiggins · 12/01/2023 15:47

No, it's not always been that way. In that there's been a traitor in the last two. Will have to check, but I'm sure wilf turned up last or something once.

TalkedTooMuchStayedTooLong · 12/01/2023 20:04

How do I watch the Australian version?

HalleLouja · 12/01/2023 21:41

Not sure if this has been said already but the American one is starting on iplayer from tomorrow. Its also going to be broadcast on BBC 1.

HalleLouja · 12/01/2023 21:42

Whoops seen it has been posted. Must properly scroll next time.

Yes, Amanda was once last to appear at breakfast BUT it was after a night where no murders had taken place. So the producers must be aware of this loophole to have sent her in then. Must be thanking their lucky stars none of the other contestants twigged at the time. It'll need to be shaken up in S2 for sure.

00100001 · 12/01/2023 22:24

But I would have thought they would have spotted this in the original and the Aus version?

ellebelli · 12/01/2023 22:38

They should have

OohILoveItWhenYouDoItLikeThat · 12/01/2023 22:50

I think they were all probably filmed around the same time, since they're all being released a few weeks apart. So contestants wouldn't have been able to brush up on international series the way S2 ones would be.
