I’m appalled at the attitudes of a small number of people on here who are judging a couple for making an incredibly sensible decision about a pregnancy.

They had no idea what the future held in terms of a custodial sentence, whether they’d lose everything and how they’d all cope. They chose the most sensible option for their family.

No one ever knows how the future will turn out!

im not sure if allowed but mn will delete if so this was from a comment on digital spy on the subject

Exactly, and before people say "he shouldn't have taken the law into his hands", look up Max Coopey. He was on drugs, ran over and killed 2 innocent men... and was spared jail....... he was the son of two police officers.

There’s a huge difference between not knowing how the future will pan out and knowing that you’re likely facing a custodial sentence, that you may not get work in the future, that your life savings are being used to pay for legal defence and there a chance you might lose the house too, that your mental health is suffering and you have a child who’s going to be separated from their father and you’ve no idea how that’s going to go.

To judge someone for making that decision in any circumstances but particularly these ones is really low.

People are allowed an opinion.

Your opinion is misogynistic and vile. Forced birthers can ever mind their own business can they?

Ilikewinter · 29/11/2022 19:01

I watched this last night and was absolutely livid at the outcome, although it was hardly surprising that Adam faced the full effects of the law whislt those 2 absolute scumbags got away scot free. A few months ago our dog woke us up to find 2 men snapping the lock in our back door, both myself and DH ran out after them but they drove off.....so I 1000% understand the emotions Adam went through. Im glad they suffered serious injuries, reap what you sow.

OneFrenchEgg · 29/11/2022 19:03

Also I had a wonder in my head if he said it almost to garner more sympathy. That because of all this they could have had a baby and now they don't.

I did comment to agree it was a weird reason ; I think you've actually clarified my thinking. I'm pro choice and don't care what people do with unwanted pregnancy but it felt like a weirdly intimate inclusion in the show.

RandomMess · 29/11/2022 19:19

I think the couple worked with the series to show that there are serious consequences to taking the law into their own hands. They have paid a very heavy price.

I think it serves as a warning and I think that is what they wanted to achieve.

BrotherlyNonLove · 29/11/2022 19:22

I hope that someday I open the papers to find that these 2 gutter rats have got their comeuppance and I hope it is a sorry end.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/11/2022 19:52

I was convinced he'd get a suspended sentence. Very surprised he actually went to prison.

Totally agree with this. I'm glad they didn't die in the motorbike crash, the only reason being is that I wouldn't want Adam to get in more trouble than he already was.
Other than that they can rot in eternal hell

Why would you hope this rather than that they get their acts together and live decent lives?

chocolatebrownie68 · 29/11/2022 20:22

Apparently according to Twitter one of the scrotes is laughing about this on tiktok and they are suing Adam for their injuries

chocolatebrownie68 · 29/11/2022 20:25

Can't believe anyone would criticise them for their decision about terminating the pregnancy. Am sure it was annognising decision. It formed such a sad contrast to the two scrotes whose partners were both due to have babies soon.

And have a heart any of them could be reading this

Greenshake · 29/11/2022 20:27

@DeeofDenmark unfortunately, some people enjoy living like this and have no desire to change. These are the cases that the system really struggles to manage.

CatLoaf · 29/11/2022 20:30

I cannot believe some of the comments about the abortion on here. What the actual fuck - she doesn't need to have a 'good' reason! We're not in Texas

Wow ..... and do you know what I bet they manage to sue him aswell. Apart from the fact they have already destroyed his life, they've lost a baby, spent all their savings on their legal team - I bet those two fuckers didnt spend 1p on their team, we will have paid for it all- and moved out of the area. What have they got left to take.

AnneElliott · 29/11/2022 20:44

I'm surprised he was found guilty by a jury. Having sat on a jury where about half of them didn't want to find a gang member guilty of having an offensive weapon in a public place, I am surprised that Adam was found guilty.

Looneytune253 · 29/11/2022 20:56

Just thinking, with regard to this link and the case in the show. I think it's less to do with police corruption (because it's a coppers son) and more like they know what to say and what not to say at the scene and in interviews. The poor bloke in the tv show was just a normal bloke and dropped himself in it with admissions and saying too much at the scene. The criminals knew to say no comment for everything. I reckon in the dm link case, the son was advised well and there was less to pin on him directly

A video he uploaded tonight

Seems he is out on license but lost his career and is also banned from driving. Lost there life savings on legal fees.

hamstersarse · 29/11/2022 21:43

He posed no ongoing threat to society so I think he should have got a suspended sentence. It’s ridiculous to put someone in prison for a crime like this (unfortunately it was a crime)

Awfully, he may have faired better at sentencing if he has a child on the way. But that seems wrong saying that
