You know what I mean. Woman gets an inn (left in a will/wins/buys). Goes to a quaint town. Meets attractive but annoying man blah blah.
Very cheesy but I like them! Is it too early to start watching them? I want to see them all! Anyone with me?

My guilty pleasure every year

unwillingantisocial · 05/11/2022 12:11

Love these!

MrsMitford3 · 05/11/2022 12:13

I admit to dipping my toe in...

I love looking forward christmas and it goes so quickly so I have started earlier than ever this year!!

No DC left at home and I am a sap...

What are you watching?

NippyWoowoo · 05/11/2022 12:13

Did you know a Lindsay Lohan one is coming out ok Netflix? I can't wait

Ilovehatecleaning · 05/11/2022 12:13

I want to start now but am so busy with work. Plus have to watch them when no-one else is here otherwise I get asked why I'm watching such cheese.

Maybe I do need to start asap. Forget the work/house/food/kids.

Can anyone recommend one to start with?

Vanessa Hudgens is the Queen of the Cheesy Christmas.

I love that netflix puts Queen Amber of Aldova (Christmas Prince) at Queen Stacy's (Princess Switch) wedding in Belgravia.

I can not believe I just admitted to knowing that

AlwaysFoldingWashing · 05/11/2022 12:19

You've got another closet fan here too BlushBlush

WellingtonSquareTree · 05/11/2022 12:21

It is known as schmaltz in this house. I absolutely love them. Usually find Hallmark movies on YouTube but Netflix seems to have romantic movies if you put Hallmark in the search bar. I'm here for the recommendations.

Ilovehatecleaning · 05/11/2022 12:25

I have found my people

Channel 5 have them on every weekday afternoon already! I'm recording them, most of them are new to me.

thefiddlerselbow · 05/11/2022 12:28

Just watched the 12 dates of Christmas on Disney+ while batch cooking. Love it!

inappropriateraspberry · 05/11/2022 12:29

It's definitely the same core of actors that do these films. The daughter from Father of the Bride is a regular.

Ilovehatecleaning · 05/11/2022 12:36

Maybe we need a secret handshake or a word to make ourselves known to others. The minute I'm on my own I'm going to find one

Love these! Some are actually really good 🤣
Try the shoe addicts Christmas

inappropriateraspberry · 05/11/2022 12:37

Channel 5 also have a few on at the weekends, but they're older ones I've seen several times already!

merlotlover · 05/11/2022 12:40

Ooh I love them, the kids and DP laugh at me cos they are all the same 😅
My fave Christmas girl is Candace Cameron Bure

Ilovehatecleaning · 05/11/2022 12:41

@Sleepyquest I love Candace Cameron Bure.

All the suggestions are great everyone. Thank you

I've tried them but have found that there's often not a lot of chemistry between the two leads, they are oddly asexual. (And there's definitely not enough actual sex in most of them either!)
Christmas with the Coopers isn't bad, though. And it has Jake Lacey in it.

Ilovehatecleaning · 05/11/2022 12:42

@merlotlover Snap!

Hallmark started the Christmas to countdown films a couple of weeks ago I've been binge watching them on a Sunday afternoon. Love the feel good films.

Ilovehatecleaning · 05/11/2022 12:43

.@SiobhanSharpe I agree. A little bit of sex might be better

Just beware the heavy Christian made films! They lure you in with promises of cheesy romance, then bam! It's very 'true meaning if Christmas.' Which I get, it is important, but don't make a bad movie under the premise of something else. The acting is usually the worst as well!

KatieBenz · 05/11/2022 12:55

I love them! I’m totally addicted. My favourite storylines always follow the same pattern. Successful, childless, city woman, somehow ends up a small, backwards mid-west town. Meets nice (but dim) widower with small annoying daughter ( the more whiny the better). They fall for each other and she gives up her career, friends (identity 🙄) and lives happily ever after. 😂.

KangarooKenny · 05/11/2022 12:58

I love a Christmas Hallmark film !
