Any chance that storm in Yorkshire could cross the Pennines and get rid of some of the dead wood in Weatherfield?

I'm no lawyer, but I reckon even I could get Glory's dad (what Is his name, again?) off a charge of luring a randomer into the factory to bump him off with stationery.

Was that roof box attached to the rack? I can picture Teddy flying off the front if Audrey brakes.

Yes, Kevin fixed it on (how convenient that the roof box that just happened to be in the factory just happened to fit Audrey's car) 🙄and said something like "you're good to go, mate"... but all that coincidence will be more than worth it for the scene when Audrey stops at a service station for a wee and hears knocking coming from the roofbox, then opens it... 😁

I hope hes still alive.
Glorys dad is Michael? The soccer lad is James.

eddiemairswife · 21/01/2023 12:49

Michael and James; one of them is Glory's father, one of them is gay, who cares? In fact the gay one could be Glory's dad. Again, who cares?

mattyd · 21/01/2023 12:59

I'm really glad that James isn't Glory's dad, he was the worst actor on the show.

No, the bloke that plays his dad is the worst. Possibly followed by Kevin’s sister. I just don’t watch any more. Im not missing the preaching, the ridiculous storylines or the complete tedium to be honest.

mattyd · 21/01/2023 14:30

I've given up watching it many times, but then there's a Corrie shaped hole in my evening and I drift back. It's the only soap I watch, weaned myself off all the others a long time ago.

Pseudonamed · 21/01/2023 15:21

Is Justin the dude from the hospital? It has to be! Im only halfway through last nights so possibly have posted too soon...

mattyd · 21/01/2023 17:12

harrassedmumtothree called it a month ago, Justin's the guy from the hospital who Daisy was chatting to. She predicted him being a stalker, must be him.

Helendegenerate · 21/01/2023 19:21

@Yesthatismychildsigh

Kevin's sister was funny in Dinner Ladies "twelve rounds of toast" but in Corrie she needs a damn good face steaming. Her orange sticky face is awful.

I didn’t like her in dinnerladies either, I know it was a comedy, but she overacted woefully.

Helendegenerate · 22/01/2023 11:05

@Yesthatismychildsigh They ALL did. That's what I found so good about it. Every character was superb. Only my opinion of course.

Sorry for wandering off topic.

Oh I totally agree, it was almost slapstick at times, and written and performed beautifully. But she just seemed to bash out the lines with no nuance. I know it’s probably available on tv but you’ve convinced me to get out my Dinnerladies dvd for a binge watch. Then during the evenings this week I think a bit of Jam and Jerusalem. Real comfort tv in this cold, dark weather.

Clawdy · 22/01/2023 16:53

Michael has no motive, though, unless I missed something! Like everyone, just wish they'd bring this tedious story to an end.

Helendegenerate · 22/01/2023 18:08

Corrie bashing is rife and I have added my few pennies worth but something they have always done very well is introduce a bland and respectable character and turn them into convincing baddies/serial killers.

Geoff
Phelan
Richard Hillman
and more

The actors do a fine job imo and it's just a shame the other madcap storylines fail miserably.

Stephen is just dire though.
Panto villian " he's behind you"
Phelan on the other hand scared the shit out of me.

Helendegenerate · 22/01/2023 18:27

@Snoredoeurve Stephen is unlike previous serial killers on the street. He can't cope with his situation at all and constantly looks like he's about to vomit/collapse/burst into tears 😀

As long as Audrey is not harmed he can carry on with his pathetic mission.

eggandonion · 22/01/2023 18:44

Perhaps a poll on who to kill next?

eddiemairswife · 22/01/2023 19:33

It needs someone like Blanche or Norris who always had down to earth comment to make. I still find the AA meeting hilarious.

DahliaMacNamara · 22/01/2023 20:46

Yeah, Stephen always has that gormless 'Oops, I did it again' look about him after he's clobbered someone.

Sean

FlibbertyGibbitt · 23/01/2023 06:42

Definitely Tim’s mum !

mattyd · 23/01/2023 08:17

Elaine. I can still hear 'Jeffrey bobbles bon bon' when she appears. You have to be getting on a bit to know what I mean, I loved Richard Beckinsale, he should have been mine.
