Any chance that storm in Yorkshire could cross the Pennines and get rid of some of the dead wood in Weatherfield?

I'm still catching up (same with Emmerdale) thanks for the new thread, great title as always 😁

I absolutely cannot stand Stephen. The constant lurking and listening into conversations, the bizarre whispering and exaggerated voice and that bloody awful tan jacket he wears. Such an awful character. I'm hoping he will be gone soon but in true Corrie style he's probably got to commit another 2 or 3 murders yet before he gets uncovered and then he will either kill himself or get arrested. They are going to drag this storyline out for a while yet unfortunately!

Haha spot on! Especially regarding the tanned jacket. I genuinely cannot take him, he has to be one of the worse characters in Corrie. Why is he even back from Milan or wherever the hell he came from? They need to get rid of him asap but you’re right. They’ll drag it on for years and he’ll always have a storyline🤦‍♀️

Cudz · 25/10/2022 22:35

I don't know which is worse - Stephen's tan jacket or Kev's 20 year old bomber jacket that he still wears and is now some bizarre shade of purple!

augustusglupe · 25/10/2022 22:54

Eileen looks great! She's lost weight and it looks like she's had her teeth done.

MightyOaks · 26/10/2022 11:38

EachandEveryone · 25/10/2022 17:52

Eileen is very fresh faced these days isn’t she? She looks lovely, whatever tweaks she’s had done

I think we're just not used to seeing her smile!

MightyOaks · 26/10/2022 11:40

I HATE Stephen and that cringeworthy fake Canadian accent but with local dialect thrown in. I get that accents mix up, but I've spent a lot of time in Canada and that's not how northern British (as I am myself) mixed with Canadian sounds like!

Londonnight · 26/10/2022 12:04

Most of the story lines on Corrie at the moment drive me mad! It is getting to the point that I may well give up on it if they don't improve. Need to get rid of Stephen, Summer, Billy and the Aggie family [ can't remember their surname ]

Corrie has always been my favourite of the soaps, but just seems to have gone downhill. Gave up with Emmerdale many years ago due to poor story lines.

Eileen apparently in real life is off to the jungle.

TellingBone · 26/10/2022 12:36

Maybe they're saving Stephen's denouement for the Christmas Day edition. Agree with @Cudz he'll probably off someone else before then. Or Aud will discover the money plot herself and he'll be caught when about to batter her. ['cos they can't kill off Aud]

Virgo1958 · 26/10/2022 13:25

Stephen's going to kill his wife isn't he? Not a spoiler just my reckoning

Scrambler4 · 26/10/2022 13:32

Where has Leo’s body been left? Not sure if I’ve missed an episode or nodded off during one.

Stephen is like a pantomime villain lurking on the periphery of every conversation and plotting his next move.

eggandonion · 26/10/2022 13:45

Im certain leo is in a coma in the neurological dept of the hospital. Nobody has informed the police that they have an unidentified patient. His paperwork was all with his suitcase, Steven has his phone. Craig will eventually discover him. He will recover, miraculously.
Or Eileen will have delayed symptoms and be in the hospital.
There must be a reason for current plots. Mustn't there. Really.

Ooh you could be onto something there! It’s no more far fetched than some of the storylines.

AutumnsCrow · 26/10/2022 15:02

Where I live, if you have neurological damage you have to be taken to a regional centre in the next city along. So maybe in an uncharacteristic fit of realism, Leo is in the Manchester Royal Infirmary staring at the walls.

In true Corrie style, a doctor will say, 'we don't know who he is, it's a mystery'.

OTOH he could be on the Corporation tip.

eggandonion · 26/10/2022 15:50

Poor Leo. Maybe Aggie could be seconded to neurology.

Yep, I reckon old pixie cut is a goner.

Isn't he under the flower bed in Grasmere Drive?

Fiddlersgreen · 26/10/2022 23:15

i think he’s going to try and bump off Audrey!
His face when Shona said living with Audrey would drive her to murder!

do we know where Leo’s body is?

Bagpuss2022 · 27/10/2022 03:48

I too think he will off his wife and try to with Audrey and that’s how he will be caught

Clawdy · 27/10/2022 08:26

If Leo was in a local hospital and unidentified, it would be all over the Manchester Evening News newspaper. Although maybe no one in Weatherfield reads it!

eddiemairswife · 27/10/2022 10:31

I thought Leo's body was in a dustbin .Am I wrong?

eggandonion · 27/10/2022 11:54

If its not in the gazette it didn't happen. I suppose if the neurological unit is located elsewhere, Craig won't have been contacted, or dr Gadass.
Is sean seeing a dentist, perhaps dental records can be used.

birder · 27/10/2022 12:35

Stephen dragged Leo's body out of the bin and into the back of a van....I think.

Bagpuss2022 · 27/10/2022 13:15

I’m sure it showed him at night burying it but I might be mixed up when he burnt somethings at night don’t pay as much attention as I used to as it’s so dire at the moment

eggandonion · 27/10/2022 14:03

Was the night burial not the Gary Windasss kidnapper man. I zone out a lot, i don't like crime and murder. I like cosy.

DahliaMacNamara · 27/10/2022 14:04

I remember the Night Burning, but in the darkness it wasn't altogether clear what was in the flames. If it was Leo, surely Craigie would have stumbled across the charred remains by now. Reckon the average crematorium requires a slightly fiercer heat than a bonfire to turn human flesh to ashes.
