Watching Corrie tonight felt like a real pain in the arse. I like to watch 'continuing dramas' for a bit of entertainment and occasionally some mindful engagement with Issues Of The Day.

But it's all so druggy and stressy and murdery and violent and horrible.

I'm soooooo sick of Stephen.

And already sick of the bistro stuff but guess that will drag on for months.

Tonight I made a point of replaying scenes when I found I'd zoned out. It took me 1.5 hours to watch it. That scene with Paul telling Todd something about past memories of his stepdad I had to replay 3 times before I took it in. And again when Daisy was talking about her old school mate who'd done something bad to her... forgotten already what it was.

I find Summer and her three fathers a real pain, She's 18 and they are fussing over her as if she has learning difficulties. I find that one of them has an app(?) that monitors her insulin levels really intrusive. What happened to Oxford? What does she do?

Iirc Paul's stepdad sexually abused him as a child.

I actually like the Summer and the 3 dads set up but liked old head Summer a lot more.

Billy has a habit of putting his hands together as if praying whenever he's stressed or being very serious. I know he's an arch deacon or something but his hands together thingy irritates me. Daisy's weird way of talking has long since stopped being amusing and quirky. Now it's just daft. I could go on because there's something about quite a few of the characters I can't stand but that's enough for this evening.

Yes I still watch it, rarely miss it despite the fact the storylines are beyond ridiculous.

Daisy popped up in an old episode of Casualty the other day ( well technically December but I record them and am massively behind !)

She didn't have the annoying voice or mannerisms in that episode (2016) and was quite pleasant to watch !

Was it Paul who said that he's never going to let Summer down again? What's it got to do with him, or Todd for that matter?

Summer lets everyone down all the time and could have gone to Oxford if she hadn't been caught cheating.

@bizzey ah that's interesting, I would like to see the Daisy actress in another role not being Daisy. The same with Max, his awful clipped way of speaking must be how the director tells him to deliver his lines If not and it's just the actor's choice of delivery then the director needs a slap 😎 In another role he could be more "normal"

I think I am thinking too much, have to do something more constructive on my day off 😐☺

the stephen stuff is hideoous. are they only dragging it out becasue they want the actor in it for as long as possible. becasue he is just a vile man and noone is getting suspicious of him.
