It looks like it's going to be really good, I'm so excited for this to come out.

I've not read it yet as I am doing the main series via audiobook first (takes a while with a 6 month old!) I have got a copy of 'The World of Ice and Fire' and I've found this is amazing to add context to everything! Sorry I can't provide a useful answer but would recommend the world of ice and fire any day!

I also cannot wait to see the costumes, from what we have saw so far.. WOW! I mean look at Matt Smith in this armour.

Less than a week to go!!! Got it recording on Sky Atlantic at 2am on Monday seriously tempted to get up and watch it as I don't have work the next day!

I have read Fire and Blood - it's quite dry because of the fake history format and it took me a long time to read it, but the plot is great.

As I get older I wake up earlier, so I'm pretty sure that I'll wake up at 6 and go downstairs with my duvet to lie on the sofa and watch it like I used to with Game of Thrones. I definitely can't wait until it's all out and then binge it in a single month, I'm going to subscribe for the full 3 months so I can watch it week by week - unless it's rubbish.

ooh, it's all very blonde, isn't it?:) Though of course as it focuses on the Targaryens, it would be! Having trouble seeing Matt Smith in this after his last very clean-cut role in The Crown.

I never watched the crown but was a big Dr Who fan and that's who I see at the moment! Im excited to see him in the role of Daemon.

I saw this! They have really gone to town on promoting HOTD, Caraxes looks so cool too. Can't wait to see the other dragons on the screen apparently the show will have 17 eeek

Agree the book is looong and dry. I don’t think you’d be able to read it all by 22nd and I think the show is based on just part of the book.

Spoiler alert, all does not end well for the dragons.

I admit I watched the House of The Dragon Premiere Special yesterday …

Possibly not a good idea as some of the actors already seem so different to their characters as trailed. But Eve Best was glorious. And I thought Dr Who might be the end of my Matt Smith adoration but he’s been excellent in most things since then. And his inflection in the one phrase he has in the trailer is just so incredibly finely judged.

Cannot wait!

If it’s anything like game of thrones you might end up seeing a bit more than you wanted of Matt smith ! 😳
