HOTD will be premiering on the 21st Aug (22nd Aug for U.K.)

I should've rewatched the end of the first season before last night.
I was totally lost. They're all called the same thing. I can't remember who's who. And all of the kids have grown up but the parents haven't, so now everyone looks the same age!
I appreciate this is mostly to do with me and my memory/attention span rather than an issue with the programme.
I'll carry on and hopefully my memory/concentration will catch up.

Lol. Yes, very confusing having Jacaerys and Jaeharys in the same episode. Then there's Rhaenyra, Rhaenys and Raena. Could he not have come up with more names?

She’s only meant to be in her early 30s, which is about the age the actress is in real life.

Both her and Helaena starting having babies when they were in their early teens. I’ll try and find out exactly how old she’s supposed to be at this stage.

Admittedly Olivia Cooke is a very beautiful woman, and has one of those soft baby faces that do not age.

Okay so Alicent is actually quite a bit older than I thought she was!

Alicent - 41 (Olivia Cooke is 30)

Aerys - 22 (Tom Glynn-Carney is 29)
Helaena - 20 (Phia Saban is 25)
Aemond - 19 (Ewan Mitchell is 27)

Jaeherys and Jaehaera are meant to be 6.

I don't think he ever remotely contemplated it being on the telly when he wrote it. They could perhaps have changed Rhaenys's name for TV - that's the really annoying one.

You could give the Sue Perkins pre-season show (The War Room) a go. It's nicely nerdy but very easy viewing and it's got loads of clips from season 1 to remind you of who's who and the story so far.

@WinterIsComingKnitFaster Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a go and hopefully will start making sense (I didn't have such a problem with last season, so maybe it's my almost two years older brain!)
