A spin-off from the Torchwood thread where there seem to be lots of people reminiscing about the good ole days of Buffy and Angel and the genius that is Joss Whedon.

I sometimes feel strange confessing to being a Buffy fan in RL at the age of 36 but I love both it and Angel. So if you need somewhere to swap favourite moments, this is the thread!

I'm so happy that there are so many fellow slayerettes on my thread! It's never really been mentioned much on MN (well, not that I've seen) and then JM is on Torchwood and I realise that I'm not the only one who loved the show!

Season 8 comic is in my Amazon basket as we speak, just waiting for me to add a few more bits and pieces to get my free delivery! Wish I lived closer to a Forbidden Planet so I could pick it up on a monthly basis...

Likeasow - there were always rumours of bad feeling between SMG and other members of the cast, particularly Alyson Hannigan. Certainly, she never contributed to dvd extras or went to any of the fan meets/ conventions. I remember reading a really savage attack on her by the stunt co-ordinator after his wife (early Buffy stunt double) fell out with SMG. I'm always fascinated by this behind the scenes stuff!

I saw footage of Alyson Hannigan on a talk show once and she wouldn't discuss SMG.

Right, have ordered Season 8 am now off to look at season 6 of Angel just to see if Spike is in it........

SMG a bit of a diva then? the rest of the cast seem to get on really well - all laughing round the piano a bit pissed at JWs house is the impression I got. She refused to appear on Angel again which is why the Buffy type didn't turn round in that late episode. Beneath her? but if she has any sense she will look back on it as the best thing she did for the cultural impact it had. better than Scooby Doo thats for sure...
I have three DDs - hope they like Buffy too....oh the fun of watching it together (or will they no doubt think their mum is a bit sad )

Buffy/Angel had some really really irritating characters. Riley, Kate, sure there was more.

I loved LIndsay (or SHirley as he was named in this house). Especially when he drove off and Angel stuck a bumper sticker on the back of his pickup.

Lorne, Clem, Andrew, and other bit characters were great.

Whay happenend to Spike after he moved to 'Angel'. I recall seeing him as a sort of ghost when they#d moved to Wlfram and Hart (and wasn't that disappointing. No more evil law firm to fight against) but don't recall what happenend to Spike.

I remember him going through the challenges to get his soul back, but can't remember when that was or what happened after.

I don't think the Angel series has been widely published yet. I heard Wesley would still be around due to contractual obligations with W&H don't think that is a spoiler really

I remember seeing a cardboard cut out of DB when Angel first came out on video.It took all my willpower not to go up and lick his face.
I think Xander got some of the best lines. the episode with dracula, when he kept calling him "the master....bater" makes me chuckle.

Xander got fantastic lines but he really came into it;s own in the Zeppo fab episode.

JOnathan was a fab character. The trio together were great.

Andrew was left - he was brilliant in the last series. Offered some much needed light relief.

Ooh reading the Wiki stuff on the Angel comic - if only they would film it - it looks really good - like the idea of Spike with a 'Hugh Hefner Lifestyle' as a front
