I was really looking forward to the third series of the boys, but sadly I just can't get into it, others seem to be really enjoying it, so it's a me thing.

Could really do with something to get into, any recommendations?

The last things I watched that impressed me were station 11 and top boy (bit late to the party with that one).

Ozark is good
I’ve just finished watching The Affair on Sky, it was excellent

Featuredcreature · 01/07/2022 13:52

If I didn't get on with breaking bad after 2.5 series, will I still like better call Saul?

Featuredcreature · 01/07/2022 13:53

Ozark seems popular, will put that on the list

Stranger things.

I didn’t get on with Saul at all.

quickquack35 · 01/07/2022 13:56

Better call Saul - cannot WAIT for the 2nd part of the final series.

Sherwood.

Eviebeans · 01/07/2022 13:57

It's a sin
Although not particularly recent

MuddlerInLaw · 01/07/2022 14:00

Agree about The Boys. S3 brings nothing new except ever more absurd ways of squelching people. Sad lack of dramatic tension.

Try:

Sherwood. Just finished! It was mesmerising.

Love and Anarchy. Can’t remember which mainstream streaming service - very stylish Swedish almost-comedy drama.

I’m currently longing for the first lockdown Summer when I binged all of Mad Men and GOT. And seriously considering rewatching Gangs of London.

mewkins · 01/07/2022 14:01

I really enjoyed Everything I know about love.

DelorisVC · 01/07/2022 14:01

Definitely Ozarks.
Dark (also on netflix)
Better Call Saul
Umbrella Academy
Stranger Things
The Boys
Hope you find something you enjoy.

stayingpositiveifpossible · 01/07/2022 14:03

Widows. Film directed by Steve McQueen on Netflix.

Time40 · 01/07/2022 14:03

The series Severance. It's on Apple TV, but it's worth the subscription.

HappyMackerel · 01/07/2022 14:04

Don't be put off by the trailer!
