My first thought was that the photos would be saved in "a cloud" somewhere so gone from the phone but not gone forever?

That was my thought too

purpleme12 · 02/03/2023 16:18

I thought Max actually came across a creepy when he was interacting with the teenager. I don't think that was their intention at all, I think he was supposed to come across as empathetic but to me anyway, he came across more creepy and smarmy but not empathetic.

purpleme12 · 02/03/2023 16:20

I think I would have rather had Marcus as just a horrible person to hate rather than an actual gaslighter abuse type person

SgtCatherineCawood · 02/03/2023 17:32

I was soooo far behind but slowly catching up. I have been reading the thread up to where the episode I am up to is so apologies if anyone has mentioned this further down/up the thread. But who the chuff is this?! It's from the train crash episode. Doctor in charge and I've never seen him before!!

purpleme12 · 02/03/2023 17:39

Was he an agency one they had in for the day maybe?

SgtCatherineCawood · 02/03/2023 17:42

Would they have an agency doctor "in charge" though. Whatever being in charge actually means in Casualty 🤣

spiderlight · 03/03/2023 12:56

Yo do periodically see random doctors and nurses in the background - odd to have one in charge though! It feels as if everyone's left - there are only about three 'known' doctors and three nurses now, and Robyn's off to Wigan. It'll just be 50 minutes of Charlie soon.

TrashyPanda · 03/03/2023 13:38

Spare us any more of Charlie’s appalling acting!

is he ever going to retire?
he looks so frail and doddery, you’d think he was a patient, not a me,bear of staff.

spiderlight · 04/03/2023 00:13

Maybe he's actually just a ghost haunting the set now and they don't have the heart to exorcise bon.

spiderlight · 04/03/2023 00:14

*Him, not bon!

TrashyPanda · 04/03/2023 09:17

That’s a fabulous theory!

i think someone on this thread suggested he was in a care home with dementia and the staff just let him come in and hang around for old times sake.

AnImaginaryCat · 05/03/2023 17:41

My husband come at the end of last night's episode (at the point where big guy who didn't like needles sat at the table with Stevie and Marcus) and asked what was going on. I paused it and explained it and in doing do it really dawned on me how mental the plots involving staff really are!!

SgtCatherineCawood · 05/03/2023 22:19

I am a week behind still so only just watched last weeks but was Stevie really flaunting the bracelet she basically stole from a dead patient's belongings in front of Marcus?! Nothing like giving him some ammo to go after her again!

TrashyPanda · 05/03/2023 22:55

Why was Paul back being a receptionist when last week he was busy being the best HCA Holby had ever seen on his very first shift?

Didnt buy the stuff with the cyber-security guy. Far too neat. It was like someone had decided that SL had to end NOW!

when is Paige’s case against Stevie going to happen?

He wasn't on his first shift? He was shadowing as part of the HCA training.

Cyber security man was a bit of a convenient plot line definitely!

purpleme12 · 06/03/2023 00:52

Can't believe Robyn and Marty were trying to get a last minute resultr finish for a cabaret! As if!

Max just makes me roll my eyes. He annoys me and I still think he's smarmy and up himself. And the lording it over Dylan isn't endearing him to me either.

I didn't really feel bad for Stevie. Because of who she is, not because of what's happened to her

purpleme12 · 06/03/2023 01:32

#early finish that was supposed to say

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 06/03/2023 06:30

I wish Stevie’s storyline had actually finished with Marcus being found at fault by the hearing rather than her having to try to find this rather melodramatic solution with a guy who was conveniently prepared to steal someone’s phone for her after meeting her once. I would much prefer the message to be sent that it’s worth reporting guys like that, that the system will believe you, that sending revenge porn, ffs, is an actual criminal offence. Ironic that in real life that vile celeb has actually been sentenced to jail time for doing just that but at Holby, it’s not even grounds to get you moved from the department your victim works in!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 06/03/2023 06:31

I do think Elinor Lawless who plays Stevie is a good actor though.

TrashyPanda · 06/03/2023 10:13

He wasn't on his first shift? He was shadowing as part of the HCA training

Ah, okay. But why wasn’t he supervised? He was just left to his own devices.

TrashyPanda · 06/03/2023 10:16

I felt like that too originally - and then thought that it was a good angle to take a story along. If something is being abused, it doesn’t make any difference if they are the nicest person on earth, or a total cow. The abuse is the same. The damage is the same. Yet it’s human nature to empathise more with the “nice” person.

Because it's Casualty and HR works differently there 😂

LIZS · 06/03/2023 18:11

How vile was Rash towards Paige!

Hellocatshome · 06/03/2023 18:24

LIZS · 06/03/2023 18:11

How vile was Rash towards Paige!

He wasn't very nice to her but he did apologise at the end and I think when he was breaking up with her it was in his mind for her benefit so she wasn't tied to long after his Dad when she is so young.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2023 13:55

Behind as always. Finally Stevie knows Marcus is a gas lighting twat

And yes pic of mine would be backed up in cloud and goggle pics

I will try and watch Saturdays before next Saturday 😂
