How do you cross the channel and end up near Bristol?!

They were fleeing Wales.

pointythings · 22/01/2023 14:53

'There's an app for everything except existential despair' - the whole episode was worth it just for that line.

🤣 brilliant

QuizteamAguillera · 25/01/2023 07:18

Haven’t seen Dervla for a while 🐕

I hope they get a move on with Ian and Faith getting it on.

I'm not sure they'll show Dervla again it's been so long

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2023 10:03

On Saturday I thought they were nudging back towards Dylan and Faith, is that definitely off the table?

QuizteamAguillera · 25/01/2023 18:17

@icanwearwhatiwant I think it’s more Ian and Faith isn’t it?

purpleme12 · 25/01/2023 18:45

Yeah more Ian and Faith

WhatICallMyUsername · 29/01/2023 17:03

Just in case anyone follows the Casualty page on FB there is a MASSIVE spoiler about this Saturdays episode which I had no clue about and am extremely pissed off now. I've just unfollowed the page 🤬

purpleme12 · 29/01/2023 19:07

I've seen it.
I don't really mind spoilers from the Facebook page.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2023 19:46

I never seem to see Facebook spoilers of ee or anything

Not sure how I don't

OP posts:
60smusic · 29/01/2023 22:59

I don't see any spoilers on the FB page?

purpleme12 · 29/01/2023 23:06

It tells you a big thing that's happening next week (don't know if people want me to say or not?)

60smusic · 29/01/2023 23:09

Is it the one about EH? he announced last July or August he was leaving and filmed his final scenes in November. There was lots of pictures online of him leaving the set, plus he's been very vocal on social media about it.

purpleme12 · 29/01/2023 23:12

Fair enough but I'm guessing PP didn't know about it still. I've only seen one thing before now I think so I think it would have been easy to miss

SoupDragon · 30/01/2023 07:49

Well, I didn't know that and hadn't seen any spoilers til now so thanks a lot 🙄

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 05/02/2023 10:35

completely unmoved by Ethan leaving but I felt sorry for Jacob - clearly still traumatised by his relationship with wharshername.

SoupDragon · 05/02/2023 10:50

I laughed when Ethan said "I want to hand in my notice"

and then left immediately.

LIZS · 05/02/2023 10:52

Apparently he wore the same scarf last night as he did when he arrived. Thought the hug with Stevie was odd, did she not try to sabotage his career?

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 05/02/2023 11:04

Stevie got him stabbed! And now that’s all water under the bridge and forgotten about 🙄

Fladdermus · 05/02/2023 15:51

SoupDragon · 05/02/2023 10:50

Same. I thought the notice period was 3 months not 3 minutes.

EBearhug · 05/02/2023 17:13

Fladdermus · 05/02/2023 15:51

Same. I thought the notice period was 3 months not 3 minutes.

It is in most places, or at least a month if you're less senior, but 3 minutes seems standard at Holby.

Patineur · 06/02/2023 15:56

It really is extraordinary how someone goes from being determined to apply for an award to go travelling to further his career to shelving his career altogether within the space of a few hours. Surely basic maturity tells you to give yourself time to think and investigate your options?

And yes, it's amazing how little they care about proper notice periods at Holby, despite regularly whinging about being understaffed and overworked. You can bet they will appoint Ethan's replacement without bothering to go through any sort of fair recruitment process, either.
