Your brand spanking new thread to discuss the latest developments in Weatherfield. I for one will be on tenterhooks until Summer’s exam results come through…

I think they're doing a good job of showing that teenage boys are both awful and vulnerable at the same time.
He's still a young lad.

I agree, I sometimes think they are more vulnerable than girls as we are so fine tuned in protecting females that it's easily overlooked males can be victims too
Not sure if I've worded that right but you get the jist

woodhill · 24/06/2022 14:47

Couldn't Max report the cat fishers to the police

Where is Craig when you need them

woodhill · 24/06/2022 14:48

Where is Audrey's salon as oppose to the Barbers shop

If he did that the police would know he sent a naked picture of himself to an underage girl.
Although actually he sent it to the boys ???
Not sure about the laws on that?

eggandonion · 24/06/2022 16:13

Did Debbie and hotel man buy the salon and wasn't Natasha going to add it to her chain? She should have stayed alive, i liked her.

I guess he thought he was sending it to an underage girl, so
it would be the same?

woodhill · 24/06/2022 16:35

Wouldn't there be some discretion from police though as the bullies had enticed him to do this and were blackmailing him which is more serious

woodhill · 24/06/2022 16:36

You know what I mean

MichaelAndEagle · 24/06/2022 16:37

Is Max himself underage?

I don’t know. It’s a tough one.

I don’t think it matters whether Max is underage. I think you could still end up on the sex offenders register?

thenightsky · 24/06/2022 20:56

Peter's Top Surgeon is strolling through Coronation Street? Aye right.

woodhill · 24/06/2022 20:57

I wish Gail would stop being such a doormat

Somethingneedstochange · 24/06/2022 22:41

It's like reading inside soap headlines.😂😂😂

Somethingneedstochange · 24/06/2022 22:51

I think I must have missed a few episodes. Why is Audrey so involved with the Barbers all of a sudden? Why is that terrible Maria working there? I thought the online thing of her was hilarious. What's happened to Audrey's salon?

eggandonion · 25/06/2022 00:13

Don't you hate it when you have visitors who won't stop talking when you are trying to work out why the surgeon is there?
He is a scoundrel, too posh for his own good.

It was suggested (by Rita, I think ) she get involved in her business. The thought behind it was she'd have less time to drink.

Surgeon?

No that's a Platt! That's not 'Thorne'

Optimist1 · 25/06/2022 19:02

I'm seldom moved by anything that happens on Corrie, but Audrey was so hurtful to Gail I had a lump in my throat. Gail's departure from the ward, weary and down-beaten was very well acted. Sadly, when she slumped into the chair outside, her hair hid most of her face so I wasn't able to appreciate her talent in that scene!

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 25/06/2022 19:12

Peter lured Dr Thorne the betting surgeon to the Street and recorded him 'confessing' on Ken's old dictaphone.

Stephen, Audrey's son, formerly Potter now ?Reid, also appeared.

carbay · 25/06/2022 19:19

Poor Gail, her little face. She has no need of all that hair. wish she could send my way.

woodhill · 25/06/2022 21:10

Stephen has a nerve, why did Sarah need to contact him

Audrey is awful and horrible to Gail

lollipoprainbow · 25/06/2022 21:28

The guy who plays Stephen is a terrible actor so over dramatic ! What was annoying Elaine doing hanging around ? Thought she'd left the street, wonder if her and Brian will get together.

The Peter and Thorne storyline is boring and unrealistic !

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 25/06/2022 22:43

I think the Stephen and Gail storyline is realistic. I’ve seen this more than once, where an absent child is the favourite, but the adult child who is there doing all the work gets all the shit. My nan wouldn’t hear a word said against my uncle, who turned up twice a year - yet my mum and my aunt, who did everything, became part of the furniture.

I'm enjoying some of the references to old corrie. Weirdly enough I'm rewatching 2011 on youtube just now so its really nice to see the references- although Peter talking about when he got drunk and messed up the bar opening, Tyrone talking about Jack makes me feel so old! And for all I'm with you on the dislike of Max now, 2011 Max literally makes me tear up!
