Ruby is as bad as Jack. The scene with them in the yard was bottom clenchingly awful. Some of these child “actors” are brought in quite young and it’s only obvious as they grow that they can’t act for toffee.

I agree, it's a shame because there must be a lot of pressure on them at such a young age.
The only good child actors, who I think have a future either in Corrie or elsewhere, are those that play Hope and Sam (is he still in it?).

Yeah, it is a shame but I can't see the Jack Webster actor lasting much longer. After all this time and experience, he should be more natural than this.

The whole leaving Year 6 thing is mind-boggling.

The other issue with ruby is that she’s such a sweet looking child, but who is doing her hair? Are we supposed to believe Fiz knows how to do those complicated hairstyles?

I think Lily Platt must be next in line for a new, more talented head.

And Gemma’s quads live in the cupboard despite being about 3!

I’m from the Manchester/Leeds area. When I was young there was a shit hot child’s drama workshop in one nearby town, and most of the child actors for Corrie and Emmerdale (farm as it was in those days) came from there. You had to be really good to get in the group, even though it was free, and the ones that got the jobs were great little actors. Nowadays they all seem to be related to each other and rarely have any talent. Even the new heads don’t seem to improve much.

Why did anyone think Gemma having quads was a good idea?

Did no one say ‘it might be difficult to cast in the future. Are we thinking of writing Gemma and Chesney out soon?’

Yes, I thought the scene with Ruby where they were both wearing the same school uniform was a bit incongruous!

Just read that the actor who plays 11-year-old Jack is actually 15! He's been in the role for a few years, but it's a big fail on the part of the casting department for not planning ahead!

Ha! He's closer to going to Universirty than going to Secondary !

Bloody hell, I knew he was a bit older than the character but that's ridiculous. He's very clearly a teenage boy now, but churning out babyish dialogue in the acting style of a wooden pole.

Fiz definitely isn’t the one doing those braids haha. Ruby’s acting is awful and I think that’s why they hardly give her lines to say

Great title!! I met Blanche in a hotel in Manchester once. She was dressed in character, complete with wig and glasses, and holding an enormous glass of white wine. We had a wee chat in the lift 😄
