Your brand spanking new thread to discuss the latest developments in Weatherfield. I for one will be on tenterhooks until Summer’s exam results come through…

How come Ken did his angry face when ushering Wendy out of the house ? What was the earlier gratuitous, lingering close up of dead Deidre's photo about ?
Obviously pandering to the older Corrie watchers either in age or length of time watching the show ?

Why did Ken say to Tracey, 'not now' and close the door in her face ?

Where was (the permanently moored at Ken's) Peter at this point ? Sulking in the factory on the sofa by Carla's desk or chatting up a fare in the relative privacy of his taxi ?

I was very surprised to see Tyrone and Fiz in relationship counselling. Of course Ty doesn't want to talk about Alina and the resulting child. He hasn't got the backbone to discuss his part in what went wrong between him and Fiz.

I was also surprised that Fiz thought he would. Especially under the scrutiny of the marriage counsellor. I thought the viewer would have been a fly on the wall as Fiz and Tyrone talked in private.

There's plenty of room in that dungeon, I nominate Aggie as the first cellmate, closely followed by her whole family......one by one.

Nah, just lob Gary in there and have done.

At least Tracey name checked the non-existent Mary yesterday before going for coffee with Abi. (She married Joe Duttine who plays Tim recently)

They don't seem to make a big deal out of the Rovers' barmaids anymore.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 19/07/2022 21:33

They don’t make a big deal out of the Rovers now let alone the barmaids, honestly when you watch classic and see the Rovers as this bustling hub full of day to day life, characters popping in and out going about their day, the contrast to what it is now is painful, no atmosphere, no normal casual interactions, where is Rita popping in for her lunchtime tipple? The Factory girls? And it’s so quiet! it’s like watching an amateur dramatics play at the local town hall with a bar as the stage set with 2 or 3 customers, it just doesn’t feel authentic and Covid is not an excuse anymore for the Rovers sorry demise. I bet they just don’t want to pay for extras or cast members if they can get away with it.

lollipoprainbow · 19/07/2022 21:53

The whole show used to revolve around the rovers it was the centerpiece, we're not seeing a lot of the old interactions and dramas anymore !

Glad silly Sean has finally realised what Frank is really like. And glad the pathetic Kelly prisoner storyline has ended.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 22/07/2022 09:05

Kelly back home with obviously fake grime on her face and in her hair. Try a little harder make up and wardrobe, please.

I thought it had all come out that Gary killed Kelly's Dad. How come Kelly is being looked after by Gary and Maria. (She's too good for him.)

Maria knows Gary killed Rick but Kelly doesn't. Although now she's seen Garry's anger, she's likely to put 2+2 together.

Kelly ended up with Gary & Maria, I think, because Imran & Toyah had Elsie so she couldn't go live with them anymore once she came out of prison. She went on the streets (blah blah Drugs blah Stu blah usual street scenes) and then Gary is trying to redeem himself by being the knight in shining armour and taking care of her.

DahliaMacNamara · 22/07/2022 12:25

Kelly's mum took the rap for Rick Neelan's murder, so if/when Kelly works out The Truth it'll be a double whammy of betrayal and revenge. And so it goes on. And on.

eggandonion · 22/07/2022 13:18

Didn't gary sort of worry about her because he killed Rick. Thee baddies should have chopped Kelly's hair off and sent it to gary. Did he get the cash back?
Gary has forgotten about Anna, his children and Faye.

MichaelAndEagle · 22/07/2022 19:15

The scene with Fiz and Ty in the kitchen. 'Soon it will all be back to normal, as if none of this ever happened......'

Hmmmmm...... I think whoever said it must be time for Alina Pop to re appear with baby was right.

eggandonion · 22/07/2022 19:48

The tattoo is coming back to haunt him. Did he ebay his new clothes or were they destroyed by firestarter?

RhannionKPSS · 22/07/2022 22:21

Did the kidnapper die? Nothing was clear about that whole storyline, although that seems to be the case all the time in Corrie now.

Audrey Sad

eddiemairswife · 22/07/2022 22:31

What happened to Audrey? Have I missed a bit?

What happened to Audrey? Have I missed a bit?

One minute she was at the salon with her family being surprised, her next scene she was in hospital. Looks like she deliberately overdosed on sleeping pills (doctor said she'd taken too many for it to be accidental).

I've had a horrible feeling that they were building up to her (natural) death with all the will and money talk and the way she's been acting with her family. Didn't see this coming, that she's suicidal, though it does seem obvious now in hindsightSad

Iwantacampervan · 23/07/2022 07:52

Thank you for the explanation dollyshihtzu I completely missed that - I assume that part was the upsetting bit we were warned about at the start.

PrincessScarlett · 23/07/2022 08:41

Gary's children were mentioned the other day by Kelly when she told him he had his kids to think about rather than killing someone. She listed them off and when she ended on Zack I had to do a bit of a think and then realised it's his baby he never sees who he had with Phelan's daughter.

Gary has always looked out for Kelly since killing Rick. He used to give Laura money saying it was from Rick and then when Kelly was on trial he gave a lump sum for her defence. Shame he doesn't invest as much in his own kids.

riserved · 23/07/2022 08:46

Gary's junk yard must be doing well, the amount of money he has/had.

PrincessScarlett · 23/07/2022 10:26

If Audrey took an overdose who took her to hospital? Unless she took the pills before going to the bistro then collapsed on the way home.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/07/2022 10:52

There was a bit right at the end where Gail came home and said to Shona and Srah that she'd been to Grassmere Drive , no-one home and she'd called Audrey 6 times , no answer .

She phones again, Audrey answers and says she'd popped out for milk so must've missed her , she was tired and going to bed now ...................then it shows her in the hospital bed and the Dr saying she needs a Pysch referall.

Poor Audrey is feeling rail roaded by her dreadful vulture family .

I think he's been living off Rick's stash.

NCTDN · 23/07/2022 17:24

I think Audrey must have called an ambulance herself? But that doesn't add up.

RainydaysandFridays · 24/07/2022 09:41

Can’t believe Jack is meant to be leaving primary school- the actor looks ready to leave high school!

lollipoprainbow · 24/07/2022 10:41

Audrey seemed odd at the bistro, maybe she took them on the way home and collapsed and was found ?

lollipoprainbow · 24/07/2022 10:41

@RainydaysandFridays he's so wooden !! His scenes are pretty cringeworthy.
