OP posts:

Just watched the final episode and on my I actually sobbed.

Anyfeckinusername · 17/04/2022 09:26

@Hillscoveredwithsnow

Nicola Walker's look at the camera at the end!😍
Yes! If was very Fleabag!!! Similar ending to a different personal story - but an out and out “don’t worry, I’m going to be fine” stare.
pinkBamboo · 17/04/2022 09:39

I cried at the ending
Was totally expecting Christie to turn up at the wedding as well with his luggage!

CPL593H · 17/04/2022 22:41

I was utterly convinced eldest daughter would have some dread disease given the circles/bags! I was also convinced Hannah was building up to a heart attack, what with the leaning on bridge rails and lub- dubbing soundtrack at those points

Never much liked Rose in Ss1 and 2 but she broke my heart pushing that bike around after James died. I don't think the vicar was being predatory, he's been widowed too and I think it would all go very slowly.

Yeah, I sort of thought Christie would show up at the end but actually glad he didn't, he really did not get that she is not going to abandon her kids to go off and live in NYC fantasy world. He didn't love the reality of Hannah.

The pleated coat would end up looking rubbish the moment you sat down in it.. the pleats would get squashed.

ChateauMargaux · 18/04/2022 09:15

The clothes are amazing, I want them all, but some of them would not look good on me.

VanGoghsDog · 18/04/2022 16:14

I thought that about a lot of the clothes. Rose's pale pink coat would be creased and filthy pretty quickly, especially as she was always hanging around churchyards with kids.

But everything they wore literally looked brand new, even when they were still wearing it at midnight.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 18/04/2022 21:24

Scar with me let's cow.

What did one Irish male character say to the female character when they were looking at a model of Belsize Park houses for sale ? (I don't know their names.)

The mumbling and whispering on this show is annoying.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 18/04/2022 21:28

Tyler, husband of Zander.

ChateauMargaux · 18/04/2022 22:08

@VanGoghsDog... I agree.. pale pink is not a good colour for a functional coat.. car to bar.. fine.. anything else.. nah. I did spend way too much time obsessing about their clothes and you would never think that to look at me now.. made me nostalgic for my 20's when I had a well paid office job, a cupboard full of heels and if my clothes got stained, I threw them out.. days long gone...

Lilacsparkles · 18/04/2022 23:04

Someone mentioned this but yes!! Ruth clearly noticed there was something between Nina and Tyler (when they all went for dinner) Why did she not intervene!? Huge plot hole for me. Loved the series otherwise though!

Legal confidentiality. Nina would just ignore her mum saying not to get involved if she didn't give a reason and she couldn't give the real reason. And she didn't know about the property purchase.

Nina was always crashing from one disasterous affair to another, she wouldn't take any notice of her mum.

Mxflamingnoravera · 19/04/2022 08:39

All Hannah's work clothes look too big on her, is there a trend for wearing sacks? Nina on the other hand looks fab in anything.

HettySunshine · 19/04/2022 08:44

Woman like Kate in their late 30's early 40's do not get pregnant by mistake with a relatively new partner. They just don't. Kate was definitely out to 'catch' Nathan.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 19/04/2022 08:44

So is Tyler really straight ? Or does he not care as long as there's drama ?

Bunce1 · 19/04/2022 09:07

I loved it all!

But why has no one commented on Christie’s really grim. Matching suitcase and briefcase set? It was so creepy and steampunk looking. As soon as I saw i thought- S&M Dungeon.

I love Hannah, I love how she is soft and gentle in how she carries herself and her clothing. All watery and flowing. But she’s got massive balls.

VanGoghsDog · 19/04/2022 09:13

Well, he could be bisexual. Or just predatory.

But either way it wasn't "drama" he was after, he was trying to con them. He failed with Zander, but it worked with Nina.

His sexuality isn't really important.

Grace1805 · 19/04/2022 16:34

I think Tyler is bisexual.
To be honest I liked the dynamic between Nina and Tyler during season 2.So Season 3 was sort of disappointing from this point of view.
I also have to admit that the actor is very attractive, more than Christie or Nathan in my opinion.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 19/04/2022 21:34

@VanGoghsDog

How is Tyler trying to con Nina ? Is Nina buying the property and he will get half of it just for a kiss ? (In the long run)

What was he trying to con out of Zander ?

ChateauMargaux · 19/04/2022 22:06

@ToffeeNotCoffee .. Tyler got Nina to transfer £200,000 to his bank account and the left the country!!

FlosCampi · 19/04/2022 22:26

Nathan from the camping trip onwards became a totally unattractive hopeless comedy dad, the kind walked over by a muddy dog in a washing powder advert. In fact not one of the men had any charisma!

VanGoghsDog · 19/04/2022 22:57

Yes, Tyler got Nina to transfer half the deposit value to "the solicitor" for the purchase, and it had to happen quickly because it was off-plan and they were selling fast and he knew a guy ......

The solicitor didn't exist, the bank account she transferred the money to was his. He left the country.

I've forgotten, was the baby his?

Pl242 · 19/04/2022 23:25

No the baby was that comedian guy’s. Rex I think he was called.

VanGoghsDog · 19/04/2022 23:51

Oh yes, I remember him now.
ToffeeNotCoffee · 20/04/2022 18:21

Thanks. I am now up to speed with most of it.

To me, it's a farce ! A lot of the actors seem to be biting back the urge to laugh at the script.

Christie, to me, doesn't seem to have much going for him. He doesn't seem to get many lines to say.

Oh and Hannah going from collecting her drunk daughter from the nightclub, rowing with Nathan and his pg girlfriend, (whom she had time for verbal sparring with even though her daughter whom she was getting a glass of water for, was in danger of inhaling her own vomit) then turning up at Nathan's hotel room for a passionate reunion just didn't run to me.

Would she not have turned up smelling of sick and disinfectant ? Or does that do it for both of them ?

Christie comes across as a bit of a wet dish rag to me. Agree about Nathan as well. He's just react, react, react.
