This was the last series guys. Sorry

Ahh Sad

Movingonup22 · 10/04/2022 19:11

Couldn’t see it so far - has anyone mentioned the poor old third child who I think said one word???

Hannah’s meant to be this amazing mother h she spent a week shagging the Durch dude overnight while her mum (briefly mentioned in one swntence) apparently baby sat!!

I find it weird that there’s just no time at all spent on actual child care by either Hannah or Nathan and the poor younger child doesn’t even get a
Look in!!!

ShanghaiDiva · 10/04/2022 19:37

The Lennie story was ridiculous.
You can’t transfer £250k by internet banking.
I love Hannah’s house and Nina’s hair.

Praxoulla007 · 10/04/2022 19:59

So, the reason Christie and Hannah split up was because Christie didn't want to deal with Hannah's family and kids ? He just wanted Hannah all to himself ?

airrrrAIRRRRiELLLL · 10/04/2022 20:27

I think he could only offer Hannah a single life of 'fun' that she would soon grow tired of. She loved her family, she was the rock that everyone turned to and although it was a bit much at times, that's who she was. Also she'd miss the love and support of her mother and sisters.

Praxoulla007 · 10/04/2022 20:44

@airrrrAIRRRRiELLLL - thank you. Brings into question if Christi genuinely loved Hannah then as her mum and sisters and family is part of who she was

Inkanta · 10/04/2022 21:02

Yes I reckon Christie was quite high maintenance, and that's not really love to pull Hannah away from her family all the way to New York to serve his needs. That's not the depth and breadth of real love.

AnastasiaRomanov · 10/04/2022 22:23

He might appear in London having decided she’s worth the move in the next series.

AnastasiaRomanov · 10/04/2022 22:27

Sorry just realised it’s the last…arghhhh!

halfgirlhalfturnip · 10/04/2022 22:42

Sounds like they took a lot of liberties with the story - was it produced by dermot o Leary's wife - caught that briefly at the end of bingeing it last night. Biggest weird thing I found was hannah and Nathan inheriting the house from her great aunt? What about her siblings? I know inheritance leads to heated debate on mn but that seems completely unrealistic. Loved the clothes - £700 for the pleated coat and £1200 for the dress Hannah wore to the wedding!

AnastasiaRomanov · 10/04/2022 23:14

The dress looked like it had been made from Laura Ashley curtain fabric from the 1980’s.

Movingonup22 · 10/04/2022 23:16

@halfgirlhalfturnip it was the deposit that was inherited from the great aunt….but i know!!!! I was like WTF too!!!! So was it rose who was the younger one? Is In that lovely but tiny flat while
Hannah got a deposit to buy that house! Okay fine presumably it was 20 years ago - but it was such a weird throw away line!!!

GreenClock · 10/04/2022 23:32

Weird plot holes. Hannah would have eschewed the book launch. Kate wouldn’t have stayed overnight in the family home. Nathan wouldn’t have gone camping. A jilted fiancé wouldn’t have gone camping. A lawyer wouldn’t transfer £250k to “a developer” even if it were possible via online banking.

I don’t think that Xander knew about the flat in fairness.

Christie’s obsession with law-school Hannah was weird and unhealthy.

Kate was not likely to have put up with being the consolation prize.

However the clothes and houses were great. It was good to see Goldie again. Melanie was a treat. Great acting from the youngster playing Liv. Rose portraying grief brilliantly. Tyler fabulously cunning. Lots to like.

sydenhamhiller · 11/04/2022 00:02

@Inkanta

He tells Kate he still loves Hannah. He tells Hannah he still loves Hannah. We all know he still loves Hannah. So why is he with annoying Kate?

Yes I think that message was made obvious to the viewers - lots of loving looks and vibes between Nathan and Hannah. It leaves things open for series 4 (I think) to tie things up and get closure.

From your mouth to God’s ear… 😁
flyingdream · 11/04/2022 02:08

Ruth was a bit less on the ball this time. It felt like she knew Tyler and Nina were an item. I thought she'd remember Tyler saying he'd ask his friend about real estate for nina especially as she said 'ohh real estate Tyler! how American!'. If they were investigating him I'd hold onto his every word...

Kate was toxic...almost gaslighting Nathan...ohh you told her...what does that show you...doesn't that show you what you want...his response was hilarious...'yeah that I'm a bigmouth'

DFOD · 11/04/2022 07:37

I thought Nathan was nasty bringing Kate to the dinner with friends without telling Hannah .

cameocat · 11/04/2022 08:49

Speaking of looking amazing at midnight, Hannah cleaned up her daughter's sick / held her hair back and was then able to head to Christie's hotel without having to get changed. Also, not sure a mother would put her 18 year old to bed and then go out leaving her in that state.

I would love to know where Hannah’s necklace wirh the small diamond can be found from the earlier series.
MmeHennyPenny · 11/04/2022 09:24

Hannah is intuitive. She knows Nathan would continue to hanker after his new love and baby if he didn’t try living with them. She facilitated a smooth transition for Nathan from one relationship to another.
Whilst knowing full well once he is enmeshed in a day to day life with his new partner that it won’t work. She won’t directly be the cause of the relationship break down.
She knew Christie wasn’t really her type. That’s why she didn’t take the chance with him the first time. She wanted exclusivity and a family life. He was exciting but a player. Nothing changed.
As someone else said - I’m over invested in this.Grin

CaliforniaDrumming · 11/04/2022 09:35

I just think lovely Nathan would not have been stupid enough to first get embroiled in Indiana Ray, then get his gf of 10 months pregnant, and move on so easily after Hannah.

Then again everybody on this show makes some very stupid, almost teenager like decisions. Nina, hello?

Christie is a selfish arse expecting Hannah to leave everything she knows to walk about in NYC and get coffee.

Ruth would never have married Ronnie and settled down to washing some man's socks at 75.

Meera Syal has fabulous comic timing!

OutingHobbies · 11/04/2022 21:33

Marking place as on epi5 and wondering does anyone think Liv is the image of Charlotte Coleman!? I'm face blind - full disclosure🤣

DaggerIsle · 11/04/2022 23:15

Gosh Hannah's dress at the wedding so unflattering. Such a letdown compared to the others.

Am I the only one who disliked Nathan? I always got the sense that Hannah settled with him.
They don't have any sexual chemistry with him, and he's clingy and passive aggressive towards her.

As for Kate, considering she's a middle aged professional dealing in complicatdd family dynamics, how callous was she towards her lover's teen children?
Wow.
Showing up at their house, uprooting their mother and literally taking her place the first time she meets them... issues, much?
