Because I have some questions!

I fast-forwarded through the last episode. I was so tired of them all by then and it was reaching American levels of schmaltz. The music didn’t help, I don’t like that young-woman mournful-type stuff.
Abbi Morgan has had a tough last few years, between her husband being perilously Ill and her own diagnosis with breast cancer. I imagine those experiences did inform this series and particularly the ending. It was just not for me.

Just finished this series. I also disliked the trench coat. Far too fussy.

Agree with many of these plot holes and think this series has ended at the right place. I don’t mind the ambiguity, although I think the vicar and Rose are definitely going to be together and I think that was made clear.

I was driven slightly insane by wondering about shooting locations which were really really familiar. Pretty sure James was killed near where I used to live. But my main irritation is not being able to find out which church was used. I am pretty sure it was the one my mother’s funeral was held at but the internet won’t help me.

Not sure what it says that this appears to be my main thought after watching it all.

I’ve always disliked Nathan; I felt briefly sorry for him when he looked so ground down but what sort of intelligent adult man doesn’t think at all about contraception? So he deserves what he gets.

Oh would love to continue location spotting on this thread …. I can start - the last outdoor wedding party was in the grounds of Harrow School in Harrow-on-the-Hill in North London

I thought so! In which case the church is the one next door, which is what I thought. I was pretty sure that was Harrow School.

The actual party bit is in the side of the churchyard. I used to go to Sunday School there and spent many happy hours acting out various entertaining bits of the New Testament in that space.

A bit of a side track and I've also posted in the Book section but if you like the writing of Abi Morgan in The Split then I really recommend her new book - This is not a Pity Memoir - based on the true astounding twists and turns in her life following the collapse of her partner in 2018. The third series was written whilst she was living the most crazy time.

It's a good example of people being miserable to be fair

I think the church is at Kensal Green cemetery - but I'm not sure what it is called.
