Let the 00s begin…

I’ve been getting so confused, as normally my Corrie knowledge is virtually encyclopaedic - yet I didn’t remember Martin getting attacked and can barely remember Sandra. Then I realised this would all have been happening when I was starting my first job (long before the days of catch-up!)

I didn't remember these episodes either, when are they from.

I’d say around March 2002.

I don't think I was doing anything interesting in spring. It is weird how many random bits I remember, but forget so much.

Thought it was funny how Curly and Emma could only select god parents from street residents when they were going through the list of potentials

Yes I can’t remember any of this either! Or anything to do with Dev and Geena. I would have been in my first year of work too and probably out half the week so only watched sporadically. I remember the ones from Christmas/winter 2001 much better.

They used to really take their time building storylines back in the day. We know Richard left Dougie for dead but they are really letting it sink in and Gail carry on merrily thinking she’s met the man of her dreams. These days he’d have polished off half the street already.

I just caught up on the Christmas Shakespeare & Hathaway and Emma was in it - wondered if she’d given up acting as never seen her in anything since Corrie

I saw her in a couple of episodes of one of the series of the syndicate ,she didn't have a very big part though .

She was in Hollyoaks a few weeks ago. She also did Doctors for a few years. Oh, and was married to Billy Mitchell of EastEnders fame in real life.

Yep, me too. Just got in, settled down to watch classic Corrie and there's 2 hours of bloody Morse instead!

It started at 12.30, I turned on to watch Classic Emmerdale and got Corrie instead!

She was in a really funny BBC comedy drama called All Quiet on the Preston Front around the mid 90s.

I couldn’t remember why/how Martin and Sally split up. Now I know why - it was a total damp squib!

Back to 2.40pm today.

Vic hardly ever looks at the person he's speaking too. Now I've noticed it's really annoying me 😆

I remember Fizz and the designer bustiers. But I don't remember much about Maxines baby and all that drama.
