@FeltCarrot I literally only came on the thread to see whether anyone had mentioned the wall! It's not there in modern day corrie, did it get destroyed in the tram crash?

I think Karen is brilliant, she makes Tracey seem nice. Deirdres glasses are fab.

It was quite exciting when Gail got a new haircut and Deirdre got new glasses within the space of a few weeks. It felt like anything could happen next!

@GodInventedAmazon They did get married in the end. I'm struggling to remember what happened with the rows beforehand despite only watching it last week As well as the sons causing trouble didn't Audrey show up to warn Fred off as well, and did she and Eve have a fight? Not sure about this last part (I generally watch at 3am when feeding the baby and very sleep deprived!)

For some reason I vividly remember Dev crushing Deirdre's glasses, despite not remembering much else from this time. I find it really interesting what stays with you and what I've completely forgotten. Peter seems like a totally different person at this point that I don't remember, and I've hated Martin with a passion this time around!

Martin,s a twat ,but I wasn't keen on Sally,s behaviour either ,did they really have to date each other considering the fall out they knew would happen?

It is odd the storylines you remember and those you forget. I completely did not remember the character Dougie or the fact that he was the landlord of the pub. I didn't remember about Sally and Martin getting together but have a vague memory about her having an affair with a car salesman??? (I might have imagined that of course😆)

considering Dougie has been in it a few years now, I’m surprised I don’t remember him one bit, even though I remember other storylines at the time.
you’re right about sally’s affair with a car salesman. If I remember correctly, this was the beginning of Sally ‘going up in the world’ and took a fancy job as an assistant at a car dealership, and then, classic Sally, has an affair.
I think she is with Kevin at the time?

Sally wore very shiny blouses in the car sales place.
What year are classics now, dev must have moved onto Sunita very quickly if the twins are nearly 18 now.

It’s 2001 now. The twins get aged up a year at some point to make them the same age as Amy.

I’d just like to admit that I find Dougie strangely attractive, think he was in The Bill or something.

I'm interested to see the arrival of the twins again- I thought that when they were born their names both had short a sounds at the start, but when they were older Sunita was yelling Aaaaaaasha and Aaaaaaadi up the stairs with very exaggerated long a sounds

I find Dougie attractive, but I like dark men with rugby builds and I’m not bothered about a full head of hair.

Gail’s haircut is awful. She has thick wavy hair which looked lovely when it was longish. Reminds me of when Emily cut her beautiful glossy red hair into the current helmet style - I used to like her immaculate updo!

Would Hayley have been remanded in a Women, s prison in real life ,bearing in mind this was 20 years ago ?
