His lawyers are on it. Wouldn't be surprised if he still got to play. I hope he's sent packing

Fizzywinegum · 05/01/2022 22:26

Grin Grin Grin Thanks Jane

Was just looking at another thread on here about Djok - I think we’ve been quite restrained - he doesn’t appear to be very popular!

Fizzywinegum · 05/01/2022 22:27

Yes I’m sure he’ll get a great reception if they do let him play! Only Djok would be so arrogant to try this

kazzaD66 · 05/01/2022 22:32

Thanks for the new thread Jane good title Grin

It's great news but we all know how slippery Djok is (and his lawyers!). I won't truly believe it until he's back on the plane home. Or even not the first day of play in Melbourne Hmm

Apparently, the whole of Serbia, from the president down, are up in arms that the greatest ever tennis player is being picked on Hmm

*not until the first day

Raahh · 05/01/2022 22:35

Thank you for the new thread- love the title Jane

I went to bed early, but woke up and saw the headline.

I hope I get up in the morning to the news he is on a plane home. I hope there is no drawn out appeal.

If he thought he was unpopular before, he certainly will be now. This is a mess of his own making.

RancidOldHag · 05/01/2022 22:37

Grin Tennis Grin

I do think that when a country has strong external controls, it needs to maintain them and non-essential travel, outside whatever the current rules are, should simply not be permitted. His presence at the tournament is not essential

maximist · 05/01/2022 22:44

I laughed. A lot.

Arrogant twat.

MajesticWhine · 05/01/2022 23:29

Thanks for the new thread.
Djoker really is the gift that keeps on giving isn't he. Grin

ShmeevilWeevil · 06/01/2022 00:36

#NovaxDjokovic is trending on twitter 😀

Sakura7 · 06/01/2022 00:37

Delighted for the absolute tool. Grin

Now come on Rafa!

DramaAlpaca · 06/01/2022 00:38

Very cheeky Grin

Good win for Dan there.

Just heard a bloke on Sky News call Novax a 'petulant prima donna'. Yep, got that right.

JaneJeffer · 06/01/2022 01:02

Grin that's him to a tee

I've just been checking Eurosport for the Rafa match but it doesn't seem to be on here Angry

Hello everyone. I am finding the Djokovic story hilarious. It’s the first article on BBC news! The article says two others are also having their medical exemptions reviewed - wonder if that’s other players or just Djok’s team?

Raahh · 06/01/2022 06:21

Rafa won his match, which is good- his doubles match is later.

( I'm bored of Djok nowGrin)

Fizzywinegum · 06/01/2022 06:38

Yes well done Rafa! Hopefully Rafa will now go on to win the AO, Djok will have an epic meltdown and not win another Grand Slam and Rafa will be GOAT ( no pressure Rafa!)

Apparently Djok is now in a detention hotel - I thought it was just me and people on this thread that couldn’t stand him but it seems as if nobody likes him!

Even if he does get the decision overturned surely he won’t play after all this?

JangolinaPitt · 06/01/2022 06:43

👍

Raahh · 06/01/2022 06:55

I was hoping to see news he was already on a plane, Fizzy but I was reading earlier that they are delaying the decision to remove him til Friday?
I also saw, that if deported, it could mean he can't return for 3 years ( don't know if that is just what is usual for deportation under these circumstances).
That would really scupper things for him, wouldn't it?
And all he needed to do was either get a jab- or be honest about whether he had had it ir not.
He might end up missing more than just this.we hope
