The AO posted a photo of Rafa and have been bombarded with comments from Djok's rent-a-mob.

I dunno. The rules are kind of nuts and the whole of Australia has gone a bit nuts. If transmission isn't really influenced by vaccination, it's neither here nor there if he's vaxxed. I don't see why athletes should have to have it but I guess same rules etc.

Rafa had a walkover in his match, which 5 matches into a slam might be nice but at this stage I think he would prefer match practice really, win or not, because that's why he is there. Sure he won't actually be complaining but it won't help gauge his performance.

Vaccination does reduce transmission and it significantly reduces chances of hospitalisation. This is significant not just because of resources used to treat the patient, but because of the measures that hospitals must take to stop transmission in hospital.

Morning all, some great tennis from BA and Herky this morning.
Anyone else finding it annoying that they are both wearing the exact same colour though - I have to put my glasses on tell them apart

That was a really good match- so close in the end. I am really pleased that Spain are through- but I think Hubi will have a lot more chances, and he has really taken his team far this week.

Finally got to see some of the Ash Barty match- and it's pretty much the end of it

I am trying to find something, anything to do other than what I need to do. The weather is awful, I've been ill all week, and am not at all organised for dd2 going back to school next week, or me going away, and I just want to curl up on the sofa and pretend it's 2 weeks ago and I don't have to think about stuff.

So apparently he tested positive for Covid on 16th Dec. In the couple of days that followed his positive diagnosis he was seen at a basketball match, receiving a honorific stamp at an event in Serbia, at a tennis panel... maskless and without social distancing.
So he's either a liar or even more of a twat than I thought.
I am pretty sure he was defying rules in some of places he visited while knowingly infected with Covid.

Why is no-one horrified at this?????
At least when they did their tennis thing back in 2020 at the time they were negative. This time no excuses
