Has Jamie Dornan as a man who finds himself in Australia with amnesia trying to piece together who is trying to kill him. Has been likened to the film Memento with Guy Pearce. Looks promising.

Is it on all week or weekly?

the80sweregreat · 01/01/2022 21:58

It's on tomorrow night , then again next weekend I think ?

NutellaEllaElla · 01/01/2022 21:59

All episodes are on iPlayer

Rollergirl11 · 01/01/2022 22:01

I’m quite liking it. It is strange though.

Ooo who is she ? Thanks 80s we are recording it but didn't know how it was being shown.

EmmaC78 · 01/01/2022 22:02

I quite enjoyed it too, going to try and avoid binge watching it all on iplayer.

Mrsjayy · 01/01/2022 22:02

Well that's that will watch the next episode see how it goes.

the80sweregreat · 01/01/2022 22:03

So that girl got him out of the cafe in time , but they are together?
She hasn't told him who she is ?

Cocolapew · 01/01/2022 22:03

I enjoyed it, and not just because of the obvious Grin

hopeishere · 01/01/2022 22:04

Looks like it.
BoodleBug51 · 01/01/2022 22:06

I'm enjoying it but it's a bit confusing too...... and I can't understand why no one has asked if he's a Brit...........

powershowerforanhour · 01/01/2022 22:06

It's ok. The usual brain injury bad enough to cause severe retrograde amnesia, but can still sign self out of hospital and talk, joke and do fine motor skills no problem, loses the limp after about a day, hasn't even had a light headache.
That aside, I'll probably watch tomorrow anyway.

the80sweregreat · 01/01/2022 22:06

All very strange , did he bury the other unnamed guy or did she do it ? Or the truck driver ?
Or maybe Helen did because she got the wrong food order ?
Helens boyfriend seems dodgy too !

Mrsjayy · 01/01/2022 22:06

Australian outback is very dusty I didn't realise.

the80sweregreat · 01/01/2022 22:07

Amnesia novels with big twists were big a few years ago!
I read a few myself.

MattDamon · 01/01/2022 22:10

Forced myself to continue on to Ep2 but it's just too slow and boring.

lazymum99 · 01/01/2022 22:10

Was the girl in the photo the same one who was on the cafe
I am liking this but it’s confusing
Buried alive and stuck in small containers is my absolute nightmare tho. Had to look away

IcedPurple · 01/01/2022 22:10

@Piggywaspushed

Is it trying to be a bit Coen brothers?
I immediately got 'Fargo' vibes from the policewoman too!
lazymum99 · 01/01/2022 22:11

And what a godforsaken place to live

the80sweregreat · 01/01/2022 22:12

I've been across some of the Nallabour ( probs spelt wrong ) by train and it was just dusty nothingness and kangaroos with the odd mining town here and there.
It really is so vast and different and dusty.
Yes, why haven't they contacted the Irish or English embassies?
Helen isn't very good , but she'll probably end up saving him.

IcedPurple · 01/01/2022 22:13

A bit slow tonight, but I did like the Ozzie atmosphere and the quirky Outback characters. Normally I think Jamie Dornan is unconvincing as an actor but he's good in this.

Clymene · 01/01/2022 22:14

Coen brothers films are witty. This isn't.

And why is the truck driver American?

WhatILoved · 01/01/2022 22:14

I really enjoyed it. But I'm more likely to fall asleep at very fast paced stuff. I love the eerie nature of this. I'm turning a blind eye at why no proper questions about his nationality etc are being asked - maybe the whole town is in on it?! I'm watching it the traditional way on tv I think

IcedPurple · 01/01/2022 22:15

@BoodleBug51

I'm enjoying it but it's a bit confusing too...... and I can't understand why no one has asked if he's a Brit...........
Yes, wouldn't the obvious thing be to contact the British or Irish embassies? He's clearly not from Down Under!
the80sweregreat · 01/01/2022 22:16

It's good to see something not set in London or in America , for a change.
Live the idea that they are all ' in on it ' !!
Hence the reason the older man and women dropped everything to help him out etc!
