Just finished episode one and need to talk about it!!!

Didn't like much of the episode to be honest. But the ending! I'm floored! Was not expecting that.

Aidan was perfect for me, not Carrie! I was madly in love with him when I first watched satc, but upon rewatching I found him a bit boring - he was the identikit “perfect boyfriend” from a Movies24 film, complete with tartan shirt, artisan business, truck and even a dog.

Yeah. He needed to go hang out in a small town and get ready for December. When he can teach the harried female executive who gets trapped there for a few weeks, the true meaning of Christmas.

The GET OUT was ridiculous though. Who would go to a dinner party and without even saying hello to the guests, just say 'ooh, Jewish dinner? Did you know the Holocaust wasn't real'?
I mean, come on!
And just to add insult, the episode aired on Holocaust Remembrance Day...

Yeah, such a lazy attempt at some humour, which has been lacking the whole series.

I am re watching satc, currently season 3. I am in love with aiden, he's literally the perfect gentleman! If he gets brought back they better not spoil him!!!

The character transformation for Miranda is terrible though. I get people change etc but they've taken it too far. She is literally a brand new character. I'm not referring to her sexuality change by the way... just everything! I hope they focus on her break up with Steve in season 2 after the honey moon period with che is done. Rewatching satc now it's absolutely crazy that they haven't address this!

Aiden was just a slightly less naive version of his Northern Exposure character, Chris. Who was exactly all those things from a Hallmark movie. I never liked him much. He irritated me.

I'd forgotten about Northern Exposure but he was gorgeous in that. John Corbett is now married to Bo Derek and I kind of feel she deserved a younger man after years of being married to someone old enough to be her father!

The last episode,

Me too! That orange dress is ridiculous and not in a good way.

I did initially think the same about Big and Paris. However, he did fly to Paris with the sole intention of winning Carrie back/taking from the Russian, and with it, started their new life together, so it does make sense.

Yes the orange dress was ridiculous,but that was Carrie ,she did have some ridiculous outfits

I loved it. Sobbed twice but my life has had parallels with Carrie’s love life (minus the fashion choices, mind 😂) it does make you think what would happen if you lose the love of your life.

Anyway. Love, love, love Anthony’s straightforward parenting. And also Seema. What a gal. Nicely tied up I thought. Bet old Todd Rundgren is happy with the royalties he’s gonna get every time this series is shown 😉

I liked the Paris ending and the orange dress was perfectly Carrie and Big. He would have loved it.

Also laughed at Carrie's reaction which was almost word for word what Miranda said about Paris. People won't be told though!

It was a decent episode but I could've done without the rabbi's ridiculous parody of womanhood.

They have certainly left the door open for Kim Cattrall to return should there be another series
