Just finished episode one and need to talk about it!!!

Didn't like much of the episode to be honest. But the ending! I'm floored! Was not expecting that.

I liked Charlotte and Lily in this episode 😁😍 their relationship is so lovely.
Felt for Steve, he’s always loved Miranda so much.
Carrie painting a house for charity in massive heels 😆 she wore overalls but can’t manage the sensible shoes!
Miranda is a dick.

Loved this week’s episode! (and the arrival of the chap from Emily in Paris). YY to wtf was everyone wearing to paint in. And Obviously wtf was LTW wearing? Did she buy the suit with all of the beauty tools in it or add them later? 🤔 also what is it with young girls and tampons these days? I couldn’t wait to use them when I was a teen but my mad mother described them as ‘for married women only’ 😂 Really felt for poor Steve. And poor carrie’s shoes!! Really wish Miranda would wake up to Che.

Loved Anthony this week. And every week frankly. If only the rest of the series had been as consistently good as this one.

And yes, judging by my own DD and her mates girls today really have vastly different feelings towards tampons than we did in the 80’s!!

That is very sad news about teenage girls and tampons. Is it a symptom of more and more girls becoming disconnected from their bodies?

I thought the scene between Carrie & Steve and Bigs ring was very tender and thoughtful

Steve has definitely improved with age - I hope he moves on and doesn't take back annoying Miranda - god she is annoying !

Steve and Carrie have good chemistry together - it was nice to see them interacting in this episode. He can do much better than Miranda and her ugly wig - I'm sure he'll realise that soon.

I still don't care for Nya, Seema, LTW and their partners. But I love Che more and more as the series goes on. An unbearable person and terribly written character, but responsible for some of the most iconic moments in the show: the 'comedy concerts', the 'Hey It's Che Diaz!', the podcast, fingering Miranda in the kitchen, the fantasy sequence, the 'I've done a ton of weed'. Also iconic for being conceived as a sexy, charismatic and funny character, but actually coming across as the complete opposite of all those things and being hated by 95% of fans.

I think Lily is quite funny actually, she's like a mini Charlotte. I've seen plenty of grown women on here who are too scared to use tampons, so I didn't think it weird that Lily would be too (it took me a good year or so to pluck up the courage when I started my periods).

Anthony was great as always. Along with Steve and Carrie's scenes, his "GET OUT!" was the highlight of the show. I wish they would just fully make him the new Samantha and ditch all the new characters. Except for Che - Che and Miranda provide too much entertainment value.

I do appreciate the story about Nya being highly ambivalent about having children. She had a pretty good conversation with Miranda about it in episode 2 or 3. Reminded me of Carrie's ambivalence in SATC, and Samantha's flat out disgust at the thought 😁

I also enjoyed this episode, the best so far by far!

What I enjoyed:

• Charlotte and Lily and tampongate. Hilarious, and relatable! I did think for a horrible moment Charlotte would be pregnant though.
• Anthony’s GET OUT! My favourite character
• Steve. All of wonderful lovely Steve being so kind and gentlemanly. Loved the chemistry between him and Carrie for a moment I thought they were gonna kiss!
• Seema. So classy and fun
• Nya and her husband. I’d watch a series just then TBH.

Didn’t like-

• Miranda’s coldness. No mention of how the split is affecting Brady.
• Che. All of Che, awful person. Che is basically all the toxic men the women dated in SATC. Blows hot and cold, gaslights, sends so many mixed messages then makes Miranda feel bad (though they’re both awful and deserve each other). Miranda is crazy for dumping Steve for this prick.
• I wanted to see Carrie go on the date properly, I like Peter and I miss the dating aspect of SATC.

Really strong episode. Lily is a delight. A mini-Charlotte.

Steve and Carrie were lovely.

Anthony is brilliant. Seema too. Nya and her husband are interesting and I hope that they feature a bit more in S2.

Too much Che, though. Tedious character.

I was hoping we’d see the scene with Miranda arriving in Cleveland for ache, or at least the mention of Cleveland when they were in the diner. Feels like it skipped a whole part, and then when Miranda showed up at Che’s apartment, it felt like it had gone backwards that they weren’t dating after all and how dare Miranda show up without booking it in with Che first. Very odd!

I get that upset and irrationality. But when she demanded Charlotte help her right now just as Charlotte was really busy and they had friends just arriving, she needed to be told no. She'd probably have stropped off, and that's fine, but at 15 she needs to learn to respect other people's time a bit better.

I thought it was very unrealistic. Questions about tampon use, yes, but needing her mum to physically be there?

Surely, at 15, lots of girls are exploring their bodies and not completely ignorant of where things go?

At one point I almost thought carrie and Steve are going to have a moment! So glad they didn't! But Steve, omg, my heart bleeds, I hope he finds happiness! He deserves it for putting up with miranda for so long.

Miranda, Che and the cookies..... God Lord woman, get some self respect!! So cringe!!

LTW's outfit!! What the actual fuck!! Does it come with all those make up accessories?? And thigh high boots??? Yep, great painting outfit!! 🤦‍♀️
Even her husband and kids were kitted out in designer gear to paint!! What planet are these people on!!!
