Just finished episode one and need to talk about it!!!

Didn't like much of the episode to be honest. But the ending! I'm floored! Was not expecting that.

It was shite then, it's shite now but I will be watching it regardlessGrin I thought the second episode was much better. It's a shame what they've did to miranda, looks like they're going for the clichéd midlife crisis. She's bi/alcoholic etc

I watched it yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'd seen about Big in the news so was prepared but that scene still made me cry my eyes out! Great acting. I'm glad it'll be a new chapter for Carrie but I'd really like to see her a true success on her own, loving herself and not running after any man or allowing any man to cause her angst.

I think they all look amazing but Charlotte's face is very distracting sadly. Hopefully she'll fix her lips. It did make me think how grey hair really does age a person though so think I'll keep dying mine!

I didn't like how they seemed so bitchy about Samantha in episode one but it did redeem itself with episode 2. There is just no way Samantha would have ditched them ever - they could easily have just said she was in London with work and couldn't get back due to Covid. No drama and leaves the door wide open or closed for her to come back or never be in it again.

Overall I thought it was fab but then I loved all 6 seasons and also really enjoyed the movies. I watched them all back to back over the last few weeks and the movies seemed better this time around - actually very in keeping with the characters.

Hoping for great things for the rest of the season!

What a load of rubbish!!
And I say this as someone who owned the box sets of SATC and watched it many times. I used to love it. The movies were naff but watchable.

AJLT is awful. What have they done to the characters?!
Why is Miranda turning bi and alcoholic?
Why do they keep reminding us they are aged 55?
Why are they so nasty about Samantha and how awkward was the first 5 minutes of the opening episode explaining her absence?
Why do Carrie and Big now live in a relatively small apartment when they used to live in an enormous glass penthouse?
Why does Rose have to not feel like a girl just because she doesn't like floaty dresses?
Why did we get a full stand up routine from Che? Felt a bit like shoe horning in some very clear woke messages.
Why does Carrie just accept being called a cis woman? I don't think she would have done that in SATC. Samantha definitely would have had something to say about it! At least a conversation.
Any why was the whole audience is Che's stand up venue women? I know a lot were non binary but whey the audience cheered they were all high pitched female voices.

I am not enjoying being preached to, and I can't see the point of this new series apart from promoting gender neutral non binary messages.

It's a bit odd. There's cringey scenes like the podcast and comedy show interspersed with genuinely good scenes like Carrie's encounter with Natasha. Both actresses were so good and understated in the café scene.

Just watch episode 3 and it's not just missing Samantha's humour, it's missing ANY humour. It's so flat and dull and predictable.
