Came on to see what everyone thought of the first episode tonight but can’t find a thread. Where are my people?

Yeah I just read she's going to be in 8 episodes because she's doing another show.
Time to end it now if the main character won't be in it. The rest of the cast aren't interesting enough to carry the show.

I don't understand how she can be in it so little if she is going to be the chief?

I don't think she's been in every single episode there's the odd one here and there that didn't feature her im sure. But I feel like it's been on the cards for ages. I'm sure that's why they renamed it the grey Sloan memorial hospital - so that it could carry on without her if they needed to.

Bailey and Webber are the only other 2 who were there at the start.
And Boki but she isn't in every episode and has only actually spoken about 3/4 times.

I think with careful building of characters next season it could well continue beyond next season or with even less. In a lot of ways moving away from the Meredith factor could be positive now

I gave up on the show when I realised that I just wanted Meredith to die of Covid. I really, really wanted her to die to put me and everyone else out of our misery.

about the only way I’d be interested in the show would be if they brought back real characters, like the good old days with folk like

Alex Karev and Izzy
Christina
Preston Burke

the only recent character I’ve enjoyed was Koracick. But then Greg German is an amazing actor. Too many characters are bland and boring. Most of the residents don’t even seem to have names, far less characters! There’s Levi Schmidt and Helm (who doesn’t get a forename) and then there’s the fat gay guy with glasses - and that’s it.

Yes totally agree. The beach scenes were so tedious.

I’m a big Greys fan. I keep watching because I’ve always loved the show but fucking hell it is so boring and preachy and whiny. Barely any good medical cases and they’re always rushed through. I’ve not been invested in any of the characters for a long time now. It seems to have lost any sense of drama and is now boring. It’s a bit like Ellen can’t be bothered to star in it anymore. So disappointing to see what Greys has become.

I'm not sure I can bear to watch another series.

I read Ellen P had said she was fed up of the preaching and that's what's putting me off. The endless punch in the face over the tope woke preaching every episode.

Along with the ridiculous and totally unbelievable medical decisions. No doctor in their right mind would put a terminal pt on life support just so they could see their baby being born.

Ridiculous.

As was the completely out of character decisions most of the cast seemed to make.

Love love Greys and just watched this season on Prime. Oh dear!

It would be pretty quick to say what I liked - the car crash, the Bailey/Pru line, Linc/Jo tension, Webber and the green juice.

I disliked pretty much everything else. The pale shadow of Derek boring love interest character, the woke plots shoehorned in, Linc/Amelia breaking up. Owen/Teddy running away plot unlikely, boring. I’m not interested in Maggie. Amelia is great but was wasted in this season. The whole Parkinson’s plot was just so ridiculous I forwarded most of those scenes.

I think they’ve made a mistake in not sitting us in more with this generation of residents. Helm could have been a really good character. Would have loved to see a major storyline for her.
