Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

The more Stacey talk the better!

I like her more everytime I watch.

Me too. Love her ❤️

Can't help thinking her and Shar were actually friends from before the show though 🤔

ThePoshUns · 12/10/2023 21:33

Definitely a repeat. They talked about Stacey's wedding, that was a while ago.

determinedtomakethiswork · 13/10/2023 00:40

I started watching this latest episode about the dogs, but I just got the impression that they would go right back to where they were anyway. I think sometimes when the people are overwhelmed it's absolutely great. I love the program. However, with some I just get the vibe that they're just bloody lazy. Then I can't see why the team should do all the work for them.

RaraRachael · 13/10/2023 11:10

I think it would be interesting if there was a return programme a year after the team's visit. That would be a decent period of time to see if they'd stuck to it or reverted to their former ways.
I'm tidy - not obsessively so, but I can't imagine how people can live like that where there isn't even a pathway through a room to get to your bed etc

Moodwill · 13/10/2023 11:56

Yeah I'd love a return after a year, but the ones who haven't stuck to it would say no wouldn't they.

The dog lady was the first one where I just thought, you won't stick to this. I can't imagine how much their house stunk too with 7 dogs (most huge and moulting) and how much hair was everywhere etc.

PattyDukeAstin · 13/10/2023 14:53

I think they were hoping that the husband would talk to her about the dogs and the impact on the home and their lives - but he didn't seem to - maybe he was worried that she would choose the dogs over the family/home.

RaraRachael · 13/10/2023 16:04

@Moodwill I also thought about the smell! I'm not a dog person so can immediately smell if there's one in a house.
We had to fumigate our new house due to the residual smell of the occupant's dog.
But SEVEN 😯

greengreengrass25 · 13/10/2023 16:14

Yes I said similar

7 dogs must mean an odour

Thesearmsofmine · 13/10/2023 16:17

Yeah their house would have smelt quite badly.

I don’t have a dog and when I go to my parents house I can smell dog even though they keep their house spotless and air it out daily etc and the dog is one tiny Yorkshire terrier so isn’t a big moulty type.

Meredusoleil · 19/10/2023 20:12

Another repeat tonight!

Winteriscoming12 · 15/11/2023 09:31

SBAM · 17/09/2023 18:35

Seconding the request for the actual timeline, the clips of Stacy painting the pencil holder then putting the pencils straight in didn’t seem right to me, it would be an absolute mess if you did that with the paint still wet.

Im also curious about the initial state of the places, some have seemed like they’d be impossible to live in as shown, yet the people always look nicely turned out.

If you looked at me and the kids, you'd never know we live in a SYLO type house. A lot of clutter is usually laundry on this show, so washing clothes, and even ironing is not the problem. The real problem is never being able to invite anyone in, even tradespeople. I watch this show and I get really inspired but I just struggle to get more than basic cleaning done in the time available. It's an excuse though. Other people manage it, so I should be able to. I do wonder though how many people on this show have undiagnosed ADHD.

Rummikub · 15/11/2023 10:26

I do the same watch it and get motivated.

Stacey should do a tidy along podcast! That might motivate me to declutter.

WGACA · 20/02/2024 21:37

Is anyone watching the new series tonight? I love this programme and I’m so glad it’s back.

Really? Thank You!

Meredusoleil · 20/02/2024 21:40

Will be watching on catch up tomorrow. Love SS ❤️

Thesearmsofmine · 20/02/2024 21:44

Yes, I’m watching. This is a nice episode, I’m glad they were picked to be on the show I think it will really change their lives.

Juniper68 · 20/02/2024 21:46

Oooo I didn't know. Cheers.

SweetPeaPods · 20/02/2024 21:59

Well that was an emotional one tonight. Loved it though, such an amazing family.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 20/02/2024 22:01

It was. There was a dad who'd just got overwhelmed with everything. The unopened post and all the stuff he'd bought.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 20/02/2024 22:03

And obviously it's not just Stacey and her three mates sorting the house out. There's a massive team we don't see.

redundantsoon · 20/02/2024 22:03

I blubbed all the way through that. What a lovely family, the children were great. Fabulous transformation.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 20/02/2024 22:34

I always love this programme - and tonight was just as good as ever. It did bring a tear to my eye, at times, especially when Stacey showed them the book that their mum had written, made into a proper book. I suspected they were going to do this.

SleepEatSnoozeRepeat · 20/02/2024 23:49

Love this show and the episode tonight was just lovely. What a brilliant family, those girls were adorable. Dad was doing his best and just got completely overwhelmed. I hope this is the fresh start they needed. There may have been something in my eye…

ShelleyCarpenter · 21/02/2024 02:19

That was my favourite episode of them all, despite being such a tearjerker. The family were so lovely and Rob made such brilliant things around the house.
