Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

Thank you @Rummikub and@Meredusoleil, I've tracked them down at IKEA, only £1.50 per. Ordering today.

Can you post a link to the IKEA ones please? I can't find them on the website!

PALYCKE Sliding Hook Racks. 3 hooks per. £1.50 per rack. Sorry don't know how to link.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/10/2023 23:56

I didn't hear one member of the family say thank you!

PattyDukeAstin · 08/10/2023 09:18

I like this show. However so much about this family that a tidy house won't fix. Although I can see it is a good start. The dogs will be taking ownership of the house within moments.

newnamethanks · 08/10/2023 09:29

I recall watching a 'how clean is your house?' With Kim and Aggie who cleared the hoarded house of a young man living in worse chaos than this family. At the end of the show, his house was near-empty and very clean. K&A looked understandably pleased with themselves. He stood in his spotless home looking utterly bereft. Not everything can get tidied away.

porkypine · 08/10/2023 11:55

I'm so glad I found this thread. The latest one really got to me. They were so utterly pathetic - both parents came across as ungrateful. I wonder if they watched it back and felt any shame. The poor youngest son - how on earth were his needs being met? It was verging on neglect - the state of his room and relative indifference shown by the adults made my heart hurt for him.

greengreengrass25 · 08/10/2023 14:36

I thought the older son was appreciative of his new room

MoltenLasagne · 08/10/2023 14:51

I got the impression with this family, that possibly someone else signed them up for it. They seemed very underwhelmed at the end.

GoldenKiwi · 08/10/2023 15:09

That was the final episode of the series according to their Instagram account! Seemed really short?

Nannewnannew · 08/10/2023 15:55

I totally agree about this particular episode. I felt embarrassed and also sad that the parents were so obviously unimpressed. As a previous poster said, the dogs will take over the house within hours and as much as I love dogs I could never imagine having 7 hairy mutts in an average semi detached house. The 2 sons were lovely and I hope they can move forward with their lives.

There's normally 6 so I think Stacey's birth and Dilly's illness factored in

Moodwill · 08/10/2023 19:10

This was the first episode I've seen where I didn't warm to the family at all! They did not seem grateful.

What a waste of a final.

I know, it felt like a dud episode for sure.

I just love the whole team though, they are all so lovely and work well together.

Juniper68 · 08/10/2023 21:04

The little lad was canny though.

I always wonder with the ones where they run a business from home whether it affects their business. I'm sure the dog grooming room was clean but the clutter would make me think it wasn't and put me off going there.

I was saying this too. The dog room in the garage was a total mess before and while I wouldn’t expect that kind of place to be super fancy, I would expect it to be clean and safe looking for the dogs. I wouldn’t have left my dog there.
I wonder if the girlfriend nominated them for the show.

Anyone else think the mum was autistic?
Clearly tje dogs were a special obsession.

I got vibes from the mum and the son. Both had the look slightly off from the camera trait that DS does. He very rarely looks at the "right" spot.
DS would home in on the nerf gun stash too.

When mine were little we had a sand/ water table and one winter, the covers for it were partially buried in the vegetable patch. It wasn't until spring when I went to do some digging that I realised that it was a cache of water guns buried away 😂

The depth of the dogs obsession intruding into family life and lack of regular boundaries would fit with being ND. Being ND would also explain an "underwhelming" response to the transformation/ changes. It could well be very overwhelmed and being uncomfortable about releasing an emotional reaction.

There'd be a higher than average chance of ND families getting into the state where they are overwhelmed and need the show to reset their homes.

RaraRachael · 10/10/2023 13:47

I can't imagine what it would be like to have 7 dogs in a house that size - all the hair and mess. Like a PP said, I wouldn't have been impressed if I'd gone to the grooming parlour the way it was before. It would be interesting to see how long it stayed in its new condition

BigBoysDontCry · 10/10/2023 14:03

Just my impression, but I thought it wasn't so much a business as it was somewhere to wash and groom her own dogs. I suspect the dog beds would be back on their bedroom floor by the time the cameras got to the end of the road.

ThePoshUns · 12/10/2023 20:50

This is a repeat tonight isn't it?
