Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

Poor Harry! His gf was ruthless!

Yes. She really was!

Thesearmsofmine · 05/10/2023 20:34

I feel sorry for the little boy tonight.

The husband is annoying me, I feel like he is subtly placing the blame on Michelle but he lives there too.

Wtf is Stacey wearing?!? Pink dress with blue trainers?

I really don't think the red hair suits her. Much prefer the blonder dye.

She's eccentric.

I thought she was hilarious with the headboard 😂

Juniper68 · 05/10/2023 20:57

I prefer red hair to corn growing on tarmac

Rummikub · 05/10/2023 20:59

Ah the boy was v happy.

t think Harry’s room was so tidy because of his gf!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 05/10/2023 21:00

Can anyone find Dilly's coat online?

Yes the headboard scene was funny.

They are always up to silly antics at some point or other in the episode.

they were the most underwhelmed family ever at the big reveal! I don’t think the mum was that bothered about living in chaos (and hated the professional new salon) and the dad was too worried about upsetting his wife. It felt unfair how out of control the little boy’s room was to the point he didn’t want most of his toys due to no emotional attachment. Agree the display of dogs’ ashes was odd. I do find it funny the lengths they go to hide Stacey’s baby bump as she was pregnant with her youngest at that point!

I know right! The mum especially was so 'meh'.

Those ashes were creepy.

They definitely need a new sofa it was awful.

Loved the dcs. Gf not so much.

I thought Iwan was a bit of a git tonight. Calling Dilly a Chihuahua (as fucking IF! She's a purebred terrier at the very least - focused, relentless and gorgeous) then blasting her with the dog hair dryer.

He didn't do a single useful thing.

The wee lad seemed a bit neuro-diverse and the order made him happy.

The husband sounded like their lack of sexual intimacy was a big deal - talking about the dogs licking their feet and no 'Date Nights'. Quite frankly, in that mess with that many animals in close quarters, it's not surprising.

Juniper68 · 05/10/2023 22:16

Yes the boy was definitely ND. He was just like one of my ND dgss.

I missed the Chihuahua bit?

Absolutely this. Allowing your child’s room to get into that state is in my view neglectful and borderline abusive. The little boy did present as neurodiverse, which must have made it even more difficult for him to live in that chaos. I hope he’s doing ok now.

Rummikub · 06/10/2023 13:39

I do love how Stacey interacts with the kids.
he seemed pleased with his future job offer!
And getting validation that putting things away is a good thing.

newnamethanks · 06/10/2023 20:03

Does anyone know where I can find a sliding row of hooks like Dilly put under a kitchen cupboard. Or what it's called so I can find on net? They look useful.

Rummikub · 06/10/2023 20:13

Or those tension rods Stacey loves. I imagine a lot of the stuff like fridge organisers are ££

I think you can get them on Amazon. If you're talking about the hooks she used for the mugs? I was going to buy one before, but the reviews all said you can only use half the hooks as they are too close together to fit more mugs on!

Anyone else think the mum was autistic?
Clearly tje dogs were a special obsession.

I always think this with the constant 'no judgement' stuff. I judge people who do this to their families!

Clearly tje dogs were a special obsession.

I think she was very stressed about the breakdown of her previous relationship and the health issues she’d had since that had lead to her career change to a dog groomer. She clearly had a lot of emotions still to process about it all and the dogs gave her a safe, reliable emotional space (of not physical space). I can absolutely see how they arrived in that situation with an older child who was out doing his own thing, a younger child who needs a lot of support and a husband who is lovely but not practical in his help.

JamMakingWannaBe · 07/10/2023 01:26

I agree with PP that letting the little boy's room get in that state was borderline abusive. I said that to my DP as we were watching.
The Dad said he wanted a tidy space but did naff all about it. He could have hired a skip.
If having the beds in a different orientation made such a difference to the floorspace in both boy's rooms, why had they not done this before?
They didn't show a bathroom. I wonder what this was like. Maybe the whole house was in such a mess they can only focus on certain areas.

Rummikub · 07/10/2023 02:53

The bed had to be cut down to bd made to fit under the window. The was made shorter too.

newnamethanks · 07/10/2023 08:10

3 adults living in that and not one of them even bothered to ensure the young boy had a path from door to bed. Poor kid. Very depressed household. Well done Stacey and team, hope it lasts.
