Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

Stacey took it and said ( to the camera) I'll try to do something with this.
It was never mentioned again
It was bugging me as I was waiting for her to show off the chair

She had that teddy bear made with material did she not?

The Daniels family with the three children on last night ( Wednesday 15th)
The mum didn't want to part with her daughters baby chair , but agreed to in the end

It was bugging me as I was waiting for her to show off the chair , but nothing.
I liked the rotating cupboard , but I agree it wouldn't hold a lot and still move around freely.
I'd love to see everything out like this. Our garage could do with a sort out Stacey style or the other lady that labels everything ! She's amazing

They had a soft toy made out of the fabric of the chair, Stacey shows her towards the end of the show

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2023 15:06

Oh, I missed this!
Thank you. It was really bugging me
I'll have to re watch the end

HufflepuffRavenclaw · 16/02/2023 13:51

She was joking about being 50!

I don't like her mania for labelling everything either, especially when it's in a see-through container. And for very small children who can't even read the labels. And my eldest thinks she's a psychopath for organising Lego by colour.

organising Lego by colour is a joy!
Though I’ve only done it a couple of times I found it cathartic.

But organising books by colour seems wrong. Looks pretty but wrong.

The little girl takes it to bed with her mum said at the end.

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2023 15:11

I saw the little girl with a toy on her bed, but I missed it was made out of the material from her chair ! Not sure how I missed it

ShillyShallySherbet · 16/02/2023 17:32

When they’re looking around the bedroom at the end she spots the Teddy made out of the chair material and gets emotional about it, not sure how you missed that! Another great episode but used sorting out Lego into colours send a pointless task there is no way anyone can keep that up. It’s probably quite a cathartic process but like dressing up all the sylvanian families is for me in our house but it doesn’t last long! They’re soon naked again!

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2023 17:34

I watched it again today at the end.
I think I missed Stacey showing mum the toy. I'm not sure how , but I must have zoned out at that point ..
it was a nice gesture

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 16/02/2023 19:14

Nick Knowles is only an update show this week Hmm

Rummikub · 16/02/2023 19:23

Oh I was getting confused then!

Meredusoleil · 16/02/2023 19:26

Running out of people who want to participate! Just like Love it or list it 🙄

I organised my sons Lego by colour once. What a mistake that was. Never again.

Rummikub · 16/02/2023 20:39

Why was it a mistake? Cos the expectation was set?

I can’t speak for @paulmccartneysbagel but when I did it it was a mistake because it took me forever and then took ages to put away again each time they played with it. Same when I sorted by brick size, same when I tried to keep it in sets. The only way to cope with Lego in this house is to have one box that it all gets shovelled back into at the end of play. Anything else is organising for the sake of organising rather than to make life easier.

Rummikub · 16/02/2023 21:50

That’s true
as I said pp I liked doing it but only managed twice!

PermanentTemporary · 16/02/2023 22:07

Another nice episode. Just shows it's ALL about casting really transparently sweet families, perhaps with a back story but a gentle one. I just want them to be happy...

I actually cried watching this episode. When the Dad said "we say everyone brings something to the family and Molly brought an extra chromosome." Plus how difficult the Mum found letting go of the chair and how much it meant after her heart surgery.

Yes same as @Orcubed

Also my son likes looking for Lego by brick size, he wasn't fussed about what colour it was as long as it was the right shape and size! So he would have to go rummaging through each individual box to find it.

It is now all dumped into a play mat (a kind of circle with a drawstring around the edge) and shoved under his bed 😂 he hasn't played with it for ages actually.

SaltedChoco · 17/02/2023 17:04

They were a sweet family, weren't they? So likeable. Perfect for this show really!

I loved the bear out of the baby seat. Made me well up a bit.

The rotating cupboard won't rotate when it's full of tins!

Lego in colours makes no sense. Just bung it all in a bucket and leave them to it!

megletthesecond · 17/02/2023 18:28

I'm working my way through these. I wish I had a handyman who could blitz the small DIY jobs as I go. I have been going to the tip more often though.

I too remember Mr Trebus. Must not end up like him....

Rummikub · 17/02/2023 20:16

Oh I loved mr trebus. He has stayed with me for some reason. “Don’t touch my things” is exactly how I feel!

Was it that programme that a lovely neighbour helped him?

Oh I tried by size but that was painful! Still have the Lego all
mixed up

HufflepuffRavenclaw · 16/02/2023 07:28

I think she said "900 baby clothes" not just babygros. But yes. far too many, especially as none of the children were babies!

The didn't show what they did with all the food - don't think it was all taken to the warehouse - and the admittedly nifty rotating cupboard had hardly anything in it. Certainly not all the cans and packets which were stuffed under the stairs.

I thought it was weird that they didn't show what they had put under there... was a useful space...

Yes Mr Trebus

Remember Kim and Aggie as well

JamMakingWannaBe · 17/02/2023 21:16

I made a soft toy out of DD's babygros / baby clothes as a keepsake. I'm quite nifty at sewing but it looks fking demented and I'm going to unpick it and make a cushion cover instead.

Professionally done, it looked lovely and a much better momento than the chair itself.
