Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

I was never that fussed about Stacey Solomon but the more I see of her on this show I like her so much. She’s such a sweet person and I think she’s very genuine.

swedex · 11/02/2023 14:57

My 6 year old has just asked to watch Stacey so we're watching series one 😂 I think it's definitely a good education!

EasilyDirected · 11/02/2023 22:53

I see Stacey has given birth to her second daughter this week ❤️

fancyfie · 12/02/2023 09:30

I like Stacey but find her grating to watch for any length of time because of the constant glottal stops. It's not snobbishness as I know other people from her neck of the woods who don't sound quite like that.

As an adult don't watch anything you don't like.

I've not really followed X factor etc so took a while for me to understand about Stacey but she's very warm and relatable.

It's also a public figure I can show dd2 who hasn't had shit loads of work done on her face. Maybe some Botox I dunno but nothing much and she's very body posi.

Agree that there will be a whole army of people you don't see on the telly. All the packers filling the boxes and taking them back to the warehouse, unpacking and organising in pretty colour coordinated rows. Rob is amazing - but I said to DH the other night that I wondered how many other chippies there were hiding round the back. And painters and decorators. Project managers and stagers and arrangers and labellers...

I know, I saw the Sue episode and all the Wham! containers (I have some I bought in my local Morrisons). Mine are all mismatched colours, though, but as they're inside the cupboard it doesn't really matter. I am becoming a little anally retentive now about everything matching.

I do like Stacey Solomon on this. I can't stand Loose Women and I get a bit fed up of the constant need for being on social media and attention and going on about pickles, but on this she's absolutely brilliant. She's a kind person and has hidden depths. She's not an airhead at all and I want her to stop portraying herself as one sometimes. She's talented and warm and I bet she's a good mum.

I would like to have Rob in my house for a few weeks though, I can definitely keep him busy.

But I said that I do like her

JamMakingWannaBe · 13/02/2023 21:04

Just catching up with this. Where did Sue have a shower if her bathtub was full of boxes? Was there an en suite?

RandomMess · 10/02/2023 08:47

DH genuinely asked if the man was the sons or daughters partner because he was always with the son, sat next to him, working with him. Did make me wonder if they didn't want to go public with the other bedrooms!

When I watched I had to rewind to double check he was definitely the daughters boyfriend.

We saw the guys chatting in the storage room, walking next to each other and sat next to each other. Not once did we see him interact with the girl.

Although twice I saw the son and daughter holding hands.

louise5754 · 13/02/2023 22:26

Also why are people bringing Stacey's dress sense into it? I wish I could wear her clothes.

I was wondering that too!

UnfortunatePoster · 14/02/2023 18:37

Maybe the bathroom had a separate shower that we didn't see?

RandomMess · 14/02/2023 19:11

Strip wash?

BrennieGirl · 15/02/2023 21:32

900 babygrows?????ShockShockShock

Rummikub · 15/02/2023 22:55

Was that how many there today?
Cute that they had a teddy made.

HufflepuffRavenclaw · 16/02/2023 07:28

I think she said "900 baby clothes" not just babygros. But yes. far too many, especially as none of the children were babies!

The didn't show what they did with all the food - don't think it was all taken to the warehouse - and the admittedly nifty rotating cupboard had hardly anything in it. Certainly not all the cans and packets which were stuffed under the stairs.

Wafflehouse · 16/02/2023 08:26

It feels like the houses are more of a set up this series, I cannot believe the woman last week lived in that house like that, her bath was totally unusable and she didn’t look like a dirty person at all, she actually seemed to take pride in what she looked like.

The house this week, although bad felt more believable because kids can create that much chaos in a house, especially if you’re working all hours and I totally understand the whole pushing things back to next weekend every week. Did anyone catch that one of their millions of books was Dilly’s? They must never have got around to reading it.

FannyChmelar · 16/02/2023 09:58

I like Dilly, she looks amazing for 50, but I cannot with her sticking labels on everything - the visual noise would drive me insane! Fine if it’s behind a cupboard door, but not on full view 😱

BatshitCrazyWoman · 16/02/2023 10:23

I agree about the labels - inside cupboards, fine, but not where I can see them!

Another lovely family - particularly because I identified with their family situation.

It's hard with work and kids, particularly with some SEN in the mix. Add in never getting rid of stuff (I found having children meant being even more rigorous in passing things on/donating as they grew out of stuff), and liking buying bargains, and you can see why their house ends up packed to the rafters! Really love this show 💕

BatshitCrazyWoman · 16/02/2023 10:30

Forgot to say, I'd LOVE to be one of the people that lays everything out neatly in the warehouse. I'm a total neat freak and ordering everything by colour and setting it out so precisely is right up my alley!

Rummikub · 16/02/2023 10:36

I know she said she was 50 but I think she was joking
Last time I checked she was 40 something-still looks great!

the rotating cupboard probably couldn’t hold much more and still rotate

I can't really see the point of sticking labels on glass containers where you can see the contents anyway!

HufflepuffRavenclaw · 16/02/2023 13:51

She was joking about being 50!

I don't like her mania for labelling everything either, especially when it's in a see-through container. And for very small children who can't even read the labels. And my eldest thinks she's a psychopath for organising Lego by colour.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 16/02/2023 14:07

I think the labels as they are look like labels that were done for my Nan when she got dementia- it's not necessary unless there's a specific need

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2023 15:00

The Daniels family with the three children on last night ( Wednesday 15th)
The mum didn't want to part with her daughters baby chair , but agreed to in the end
Stacey took it and said ( to the camera) I'll try to do something with this.
It was never mentioned again
It was bugging me as I was waiting for her to show off the chair , but nothing.
I liked the rotating cupboard , but I agree it wouldn't hold a lot and still move around freely.
I'd love to see everything out like this. Our garage could do with a sort out Stacey style or the other lady that labels everything ! She's amazing
