If Carrie is no longer with Big, I don’t think I want to watch the new SATC

I don’t know for sure, but I’ve heard rumours that Carrie has a new boyfriend in the new series And Just Like That. Not sure when it’s out. I know Big vs Aidan was a contentious issue, but I was always team Big, love him.

This bothered me so much. The eye contact for so long beforehand… the hugging and kissing… Why did she just hold his head under the shower?!? He was still conscious.. there was a phone next to her!! I know this isn’t real but come on!

I was really enjoying it until big died. I wonder if it was due to the actor not committing to it or an actual story writers idea?

It's a bold move writing-wise... They were always going to be accused of just trotting out an older version of the same old thing so I think they went Big on purpose. It weird even those it's fiction I genuinely feel really sad!! Me and my housemate both had a little blub. Can't wait to see where it goes. I think the ludicrously handsome podcast sound man will become a thing and Miranda will realise she's really gay.

I really wanted to like it but thought it missed the mark. The whole podcast thing was just embarrassing. Miranda and the professor was just ridiculous and the acting wasn’t brilliant and it all just felt a bit crap.

Agreed with everyone's comments- the good , the bad and the ugly.
Spoiler :
Bigs death was quite plausible (his life style, age and previous health scare season 9)
But after another famous 'death' in film franchise'00' - well I need something 'feel good'
It's Christmas I'm going to watch it a wonderful life!

I watched the first one and will carry on. Agree with pp, Miranda's scenes were awful and really clunky and I thought Big's demise was imminent from the start. I was wondering if he was going to be imaginary at the beginning. It does feel odd without Samantha too.

Wanted to like this. Watched the first two episodes. Nearly turned off after 5 mins.

Miranda scenes really odd
Obvious writing … I mean, how much signposting did we need (see also drink problem in later series)
I don’t know if it was just a shock seeing everyone so old but they all looked weird, even the men
The only person who was still ok and the same character wise was Anthony
Though Carrie wasn’t as annoying as she usually is!

I can't stop thinking about it. I was such a die-hard SATC fan, I even wrote my dissertation on it 🙈 I have actually really warmed to the idea of watching them now as it's so far away from the original series for the stories to bed different but I feel so much sadness is central the the stories with no big, Samatha and ultimately no Stanford 💔

Actually thought well written and I’m seeing it through a point of a widow

Dh died 10yrs ago and yet the funeral scene rang a bell as someone sobbed their way through my husbands funeral

And yes I had a Friend like Charlotte - who tried to make it about her

I don’t see her anymore

The funeral. The not calling certain friends as couldn’t handle their grief

Tho I collected the ashes but still a shock

Not sure where she series can go from here but will record next Thur am
