If Carrie is no longer with Big, I don’t think I want to watch the new SATC

I don’t know for sure, but I’ve heard rumours that Carrie has a new boyfriend in the new series And Just Like That. Not sure when it’s out. I know Big vs Aidan was a contentious issue, but I was always team Big, love him.

Just finished watching the first two episodes. Cried and laughed in equal measure. Found some of the Miranda scenes awkward and a little heavy handed. Not going to say anything else other than I was pleasantly surprised by it; it's pretty well-judged and well-executed.

It's available for download on Sky too...no need to wait for tonight.

I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I did cry, which I didn't expect. I'd love to know Kim Cattrall's reaction to Samantha....feels a bit of a jibe to me. I did miss her character, she'd have had the perfect answers to the podcast etc.

@magicstar1 Samantha was a great friend and given how the original series was all about their friendships, it makes this story line seem unlikely.

I have watched a bit of ep1 so far. Completely distracted by Charlotte actor - she has had some very bad work done to her face.

Me too. I'm so disappointed.

I lasted about ten minutes. It was cringey. I agree with the above. The actress playing Charlotte I found her plastic surgery distracting. Some scenes like Miranda and the professor were too prolonged. It seemed like a caricature of the old Miranda who did have cringey moments but more realistic. I also found myself wondering if my memory of the old sex and the city was right. Carrie films some badly dressed stranger to put on her instagram- seems quite mean.

I lasted until the 'cisgender' podcast and I couldn't fucking take it anymore. Not even remotely true to the original spirit of the show. Such a shame.

Yeah that’s when I had enough. That and the previous scene when someone has a go at Miranda for using the wrong pronouns. It’s just trying to be relevant.

So glad I'm not the only one disappointed in the first new episodes, i switched of after seeing bigs face while he's masturbating in bed .
Charlottes pretty face seems disfigured around the mouth , poor Carrie seems like a caricature of Carrie and Miranda has been made into a gibbering idiot , she's a shit hot lawyer for crying out loud . No wonder Kim cattrall didn't want to be in it .

This was excruciatingly bad. The script is horrible. Agree it is trying way too hard and the scene with Big masturbating (or not) made me want to throw up. Why are they all trying so hard to be cool and young and with it? Would prefer them to age gracefully.
