I think the letter was brutal but truthful; from what they've shown us of Booka she's intense and narcissistic. If Brett disagreed he would have stood up for her.
Patrick was sweating like a P.I.G., he was terrified, he knew he said too much in the letter.
What planet is Bec on, another narcissist. I was quite impressed about Bryce listening to Melissa and not biting or exploding, but worried about how frightened Melissa looked.
I really don't like Liam. He's creepy. Back to the rating by attractiveness the other night, when he said Kerry was his type visually. What about the big speech he gave, when he explained his sexuality meant it was the person on the inside he was attracted to? I don't think he is particularly bothered about the pink lady.
Kerry needs some hair oil, it looks dry.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 29/10/2021 23:26

Bec and Liam calling Melissa over and going all “u ok hun?” (head tilt) was such mean girl fake concern bullshit.

Bryce was subdued but really looked like he was saving his cunt tokens for the next commitment ceremony.

dapsnotplimsolls · 29/10/2021 23:50

Cunt tokens 😁

dapsnotplimsolls · 29/10/2021 23:52

Liam's not covering himself in glory by cosying up to Bec.

OrangeJuiceAndNoodles · 30/10/2021 00:49

I winder if when Booka saw Chris she realised there are other men out there and it burst the mafs bubble with Brett?

I've seen this mentioned a few times but somehow, I've missed what happened. Was Booka's head turned by Chris?

OrangeJuiceAndNoodles · 30/10/2021 00:50

I'm so heartbroken for Brett.

I've been in an abusive relationship and could just relate to the defeated pain on his face. Poor, poor guy.

OrangeJuiceAndNoodles · 30/10/2021 00:52

Also, as a pp mentioned, I'm confused that Belinda is a door to door salesperson.

What gets sold door to door in this day and age? Also, she doesn't suit the job and it seems like a really lowly job. She's clearly from a well off family (from what she was saying about her private schooling). So yeah, confused about that.

Ughmaybenot · 30/10/2021 09:18

@Geepee71

I can't warm to Patrick, don't know why.
Because he’s a shit stirring arsehole who slithers up to anyone he deems as ‘cooler’ than him in the hopes they’ll bring him up to their level. It’s honestly like watching playground shit. Plus he’s an adult who said holy moly guacamole.

I completely agree that seeing chris was a turning point for Booka. I think she found it hard to stay in the mafs bubble after that and found that bretts flaws (in her eyes) became a lot more irritating

PugInTheHouse · 30/10/2021 10:20

Oh I failed and couldn't wait to watch it all so I went onto shvideo. I can't wait for you all to catch up now Blush

I agree with everyone re Booka, I just cannot believe her behaviour towards Brett, he just looked so defeated at the night of the meal she had done for him. Pats letter was way too harsh but I don't think he was wrong, it was just worded badly. Pat is very literal in how he speaks, not really a complete excuse and Belinda could have spoken up about it.

PleasantBirthday · 30/10/2021 10:31

I think the lack of balance was a massive problem with the letter. It was just about Booka and what a cowbag she is. Brett and how they interact don't appear to have been mentioned. Patrick and Belinda both looked like they were having a great time writing it so I can see how it would have come across as a spiteful attack rather than constructive and balanced reflections.

OrangeJuiceAndNoodles · 30/10/2021 10:34

I'm just not sure Patrick is bright enough to put what he meant in more diplomatic terms.

Lawd, can you imagine being him at the dinner party with Brett/Bookah falling apart in front of you because of your words? Confused

ufucoffee · 30/10/2021 11:30

I've also wondered about Melissa's job. And her dress sense Shock

category12 · 30/10/2021 11:44

Patrick and Belinda said something about the letter being too harsh when they finished it - if they thought that, surely they should have rewritten it?

ifoundthebread · 30/10/2021 12:06

Also Patrick being a personal trainer? He really doesn't look to fit the role.
StressyMcStressFace · 30/10/2021 12:37

Belinda?

Sagealicious · 30/10/2021 14:51

@Hearwego

I actually think Bryce is punching when it comes to Melissa.
Up or down?
Knackerelli · 30/10/2021 15:08

I’m finding watching Patrick and Belinda uncomfortable. Her outfit choices are, whilst fully believing that people can wear what they want, not that of a 30 year old. And yes, they are there to ‘find love’ not a friendship but all of this you need to be more intimate isn’t great.

Patrick is also coming off as a ‘nice guy’ Hey, I’m one of the good guys so let’s have sex. Subtle pressure. I’m decent so what’s wrong with you not wanting sex?

TenThousandSpoons · 30/10/2021 15:37

Has anyone mentioned how hilarious the naked drawings were? Patrick’s drawings of Belinda literally looked like how a six year old draws. Hers were slightly better, maybe an 8 year old’s drawing standard.

I enjoyed Booka’s Brett song and evening all about Brett. Served him right for slagging her off to Pat, saying she only talks about how good her band is etc. I’m team Booka.

GrealishHairband · 30/10/2021 16:22

Booka is completely unable to self reflect. I feel so sorry for Brett, he has said the letter was hard for Booka but she has not been able to see it from his perspective at all.

Patrick is a stirry little fucker. He could have told Booka that they weren’t Brett’s words.

category12 · 30/10/2021 16:27

I think Booka took it too far. A few things might have been funny and might have opened a dialogue, but she just kept going and going way past the point he'd shut down, way past when she should have seen she'd made her point.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 30/10/2021 16:30

Booka’s OTT Brett night is how a narcissist responds to criticism.

As for Belinda, she can wear whatever the heck she wants as far as I’m concerned.

PleasantBirthday · 30/10/2021 16:31

Also, the only point she actually made was that he was right. It was a totally self absorbed response and wasn't about Brett in any meaningful way at all.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 30/10/2021 16:36

Also Brett said repeatedly yo Booka that those weren't HIS words but the sentiment behind them was true but she still didn't listen to him. Poor bloke looked wrecked.

Builderscrack · 30/10/2021 16:37

A very good point @PleasantBirthday

OrangeJuiceAndNoodles · 30/10/2021 16:37

Bang on, totally agree. Really made me think of my ex. It's the kind of stunt that he'd pull and he was genuinely psychopathic.

Bless Brett for his sadness in the moment, but I think he's had a lucky escape.
