Am I the only one to find Kerry's hair really distracting? I don't know what it is...maybe it's that really low parting...wonder if it will keep moving down like Heidi's (S6) used to!

The unfiltered feedback was just another excuse to stir more shit, they could have assigned the couples differently but no let's rinse some more drama from the Bec and Gonzo pot again! Clearly we are revisiting all that shite again tomorrow (boring!).

Can we talk about what Patrick's job is again, because he has a dad bod...wasn't it something like a fitness coach or pt? I don't want to google because, well, you know. I saw things come up for other people but not his in this episdoe. I see Belinda kept her pants on - I was somewhat relieved to see they didn't have a day of the week printed on the front ie at least the undies are a bit more grown up than her normal clothes. Cringe-arama task though, that can't have come just from Jason and Alanahs minds.

I felt really bad for Brett. Booka showing her true colours and the real level of self absorption. He was sat there looking utterly broken and she still didn't get it and just behaved like a total knob with all the Brett stuff. If she's supposedly really intelligent why didn't she get what the letter was about? Really hoped for better things from them but I guess we now see why she is single.

Da fuq is Belinda wearing to the dinner party?!

Italiangreyhound · 29/10/2021 02:51

I agree Booka was a bit silly but I think Brett wasn't very nice. It's all about him and Patrick having a bromance, not about Booka.

Brett has said from the start that he finds Booka's intensity difficult to cope with and that he needs lightness and fun as well as the 'deepness'. I don't think we got a sense of just how overwhelming that intensity might be until last night.

For me Booka's reaction was way beyond being 'a bit silly'. Her manner was defensive and hostile.
Knowing that she could put all that time and energy into mocking his feelings rather than exploring where those feelings were coming from, must have been so hurtful.

Maybe Booka has reason to be frustrated/hurt by Brett's actions e.g. his friendship with Pat, but she didn't appear to be prepared to even consider reflecting on her actions in the relationship. Just as she dismissed Brett's parents take on things, she chose to only accept her father's viewpoint which aligns with her own.

While Booka came across as likeable to start with, I did get a sense that she wasn’t all that genuine - I thought maybe she’s on there to promote her band. My fakeness radar went off when she went all coy and acted surprised when Brett said he liked her- as if she’s not used to men actively liking her! Just didn’t ring true. And the way she acts up for the camera- cool & quirky, intelligent etc but has come across to me like she’s auditioning for a TV presenter or something (like the 10 minute snogging task (!) in her beret & french accent etc) - it somehow seemed all about her and seemed to exclude Brett. In that task and other scenes ive noticed Brett seemed like a spare part and that he sensed it too, and was put out by it.

Yes, it was very uncomfortable viewing, her behaviour was aggressive and I felt for Brett. It was humiliating and designed to be so.

Ughmaybenot · 29/10/2021 09:15

I think, in many ways, behaviour intended to embarrass or humiliate someone is really up there among the most unpleasant damaging behaviours. It has that added element of just mocking their upset as well as causing it. 🚩 🚩 🚩

Builderscrack · 29/10/2021 09:20

Agree ^

Builderscrack · 29/10/2021 09:26

Looking forward to see the experts take on it 👀👀

waterlego · 29/10/2021 09:46

Totally agree with your summary @Builderscrack.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/10/2021 10:15

@ButYouGottaHaveASkillJeff

I've also never heard of 'bender' to refer to sexuality. Bent yes. Bender no.

Anyway. Still think Alana should get rid.

I suspect you're under 30? It was a slur at school and I'm 50.Grin

I'm grinning at the age difference not the slur... or not slur !

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/10/2021 10:17

Booka was horrible, she actually found it incredulous that she was being asked nit to speak about herself for ONE evening.

The whole thing had a really nasty tone to it. Pretty sure he checked out at that point.

He is top of my attraction list, way more than ChrisGrin

Blossomtoes · 29/10/2021 10:29

That Booka evening was just plain bonkers. She just wants done with him, doesn’t she?

You prefer Blair to the gorgeous Chris @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor? I guess there’s no accounting for taste, Blair looks as if he needs a good wash to me.

Shoxfordian · 29/10/2021 10:36

Booka was out of order; she clearly gets all this self absorption from her family though

Belinda acts like a kid; and wtf is she wearing to the dinner party?

Brett? Yes, I'm old though and there's a touch of the Kevin Klein about him as someone pointed out earlier Grin

The bromance thing just makes me laugh at the dinner parties, how uptight would you have to be to take offence at that? Confused

Doing good work for the masses here… he’s no chris but he’s not bad is he?

Agree that Brett has now completely checked out @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor Booka behaved like an absolute nightmare re that evening, and like you say, imagine being that mindblown at being asked not to talk about yourself for an evening 😂

StressyMcStressFace · 29/10/2021 12:06

Been lurking here for a while and loving the comments so hope you don't mind me joining in.
There seems to have been no mention of Jason & Alana's stomach churning night of passion after Alana kindly cooked Jason's dinner in her sexy underwear as he sat and leched at her with drool practically running down his chin!🤢 Was it just me or did this not seem an incredibly inappropriate way to "reignite the spark" for poor old Jason who has basically had his shag and is ready for the next conquest? I really thought they could have come up with something a bit more 21st century than this misogynistic, objectifying, perv-fest. It's probably not the worst thing MAFSAUS has thrown at us but I felt it needed a mention

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/10/2021 12:06

I did disagree and he told me I was gaslighting ( his new favourite word and keeps using it incorrectly!) Grin

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/10/2021 12:07

I know, cooking dinner lingerie?! I hope that was her idea and not one of the experts!

JaneJeffer · 29/10/2021 12:07

I think he was more excited about the fact she had bought wine. He livened up straight away.

Yes he did!!!

I'm stunned he keeps coming up high in the attraction 'game' Confused
