Yes, it was Ed telling her to get out and her husband must have called the police.

She is now in an institution I suppose.

Although I thought upthread that Edgewater was a place where she'd been sectioned, someone else suggested that some things were her imagination.

Am starting to come round to that way of thinking too. We never saw Olivier actually attack her..

Perhaps she has multi personality disorder.

The picture Ed showed her of the dead colleague could have been anyone!
At least it's full of ' flashbacks' that can make it confusing when they use this tactic.
Maybe they will appear in the next episodes.

I suppose, if you woke up to find someone in your house (and yes, I know she didn't as she was "setting the scene" a instructed by Ed - or not), your instinct would be to run and put some distance between you and the burglar.
After a few seconds, the get help instinct kicks in, so you then start hammering on doors.
No point knocking on next door's door if the axe murderer is hot on your heels.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ed turned out to be a member of staff from Edgewater/Eastgate! - possibly one who had been kind and caring towards her during her incarceration.

The dead work colleague? - another patient at the same facility who just "disappeared" one day (in Angela's mind) - in reality, she was discharged.

Tho at the dinner she sat by his male colleague and he said she was never seen again

The dead secretary he was having the affair with may well be alive and helping Olivier to get his wife sectioned ?
Although she did smell diesel on his clothes ( or something that seemed a big dodgy ) so he might have killed her ? Who knows?

I thought i was being burgled and jumped out my ground floor bedroom window, with my phone and car keys and locked myself in the car I wasn't, the crashing noise was an earthquake and I forgot my house keys so had to sheepishly climb back in the window. I guess my instincts were good though...

It seems to me that that 'Ed' and her husband are working together and gaslighting her to get her sectioned. Creating a scenario that mirrors the plot of that book. The briefcase was left for her to find with a fake letter from the missing woman, whose disappearance may just be coincidental.
