Who is your favourite characters in Succession. I thought this was one of the best shows I have seen in ages, can't wait for new season which will be out soon. Lots of great characters in it. Greg, Tom, Roman. Love to hear your take on it..

Tom makes my skin crawl, every scene, which bothers me as previously fancied Matthew McFadyen, especially as Mr Darcy!

NY Times had a good interview yesterday with the actor playing Greg, he’s 6 foot 7.

Jeremy Strong (Kendal Roy) was interviewed in the Guardian at the Weekend. He is, well, how to put this, somewhat intense.

One of the writers was on the Adam Buxton podcast recently - another writer on the show is also 6 foot 7 which is apparently the minimum height to be registered as a giant!

I'm just rewatching seasons 1 & 2 in preparation for season 3 and had forgotten how utterly brilliant this programme is. Each character is so well drawn and developed. The opening credits are wonderful as is the music throughout. I really hope season 3 is as good.

Hate Tom .. he's such a cretin .. desperate to take Shiv's Surname.. what a saddo 😂 the eldest Brother is a cringing twat ...

Having watched that again I feel doubly intelligent now.

Lottapianos Jon Hamm his voice is to die for, could listen to him all day, such a screen presence. Was reading up about him and he actually has Irish English and I think German in him.. Shocked he had that affair with January Jones who was also in Mad Men.

Love, love love it. The theme tune is my ringtone but it just makes me spend ages answering the phone.

MM plays Tom so perfectly that I find myself laughing at every deluded thing that comes out of his mouth.

The stand-out scenes for me were the attempted vote of no confidence, Kendall high at the family intervention and Shiv's wedding.

The scene in a later episode where Kendall hugs Shiv and sobs once is heartbreaking. He's utterly broken. Logan has made them all so utterly dysfunctional. It's sad that during the odd moments you see what they could have been (oddly both take place in boats!)

That superyacht in the season 2 finale was great ‘luxe porn’ - got impression the actors were enjoying it, at times it seemed they didn’t quite manage to stay in character

Absolutely obsessed by this show. I even love the title music. I totally understand people saying no one is likeable in it - of course that's impossible not to agree with. But I love the insight to a works of money snd privilege and the nasty manipulation and games that everyone plays. So apparently civilised and so empty of morals. Love it.

I listened to some of the Succession podcast on Spotify and Jeremy Strong (Kendall) takes himself EXTREMELY seriously. Spends most of the time quoting bits out of autobiographies of the greats.

He was approached after filming the Big Short (excellent and highly recommend) but he originally wanted to play Roman, luckily the writers persuaded him otherwise.

I am rewatching 2 in prep for series 3. Such a fabulous series.

This is from 2019 (feels like a decade ago!) so you may have seen it but it’s a great version of the theme.

That is brilliant! 2019 does feel like a very long time ago.
