I originally thought it was a 50/50 self defence until they said he was stabbed 15 times 😔

The mother came across as well versed in the criminal system.... The Auntie all shocked when she "realised " her nephew was in the house Hmm

The lives ruined. So sad.

I couldn't work out if the auntie was being genuine when she said she didn't know it was murder. I believed her until I realised that the parents had driven him there. Unless they really didn't tell her. Then she couldn't not have known.

EvilPea · 27/10/2021 10:23

I think with the auntie she was told he needed just to lie low for a few days, and she thought it was some reprisals for some small slight. Not murder and not police.

Ah so when she said it's Rob! it was reaction to the police are here for him, rather than he's downstairs in the house and didn't know he was there?

PheasantsNest · 27/10/2021 11:04

@MydogWilloTheWispEvilEdna of course she knew he was there. Her acting was oscar worthy.

I don't blame for the victim for being pissed that bloke was around his son he knew the bloke was bad news! Self defence but 15 stab wounds that's next level. The dad I felt sorry for the mum was a vile piece of work. What I don't get is why the ex partner sat there and didn't say it was him?...unless it was cut. He deserved that sentence.
The auntie was hilarious "no one else is here"
"Omg it's my nephew"
Okies them Brenda.

The murderers mother was awful. I didn't pick up on her smoking when her husband has copd. He seemed really nice, and appeared stuck with awful family members. I bet if he wrote on here he'd be told to ltb (leave the bitch). She seemed very much like a gangster mum wannabe. She very quickly went from innocent family member to pretty much knowing everything that was going on.
Her saying oh I'll never see him in the garden again blah blah. Yes you will, in about 8 or so years when he's released. His victims mum will never see her son again.
I shouted at the tv when the murderer said can I say goodbye to my family that his victim was never allowed that.
I wonder what the victims ex thought about all of it? I hope her son is ok and getting help through all this.
I am so glad he was found guilty or murder and not manslaughter. How he could ever use that as a defence I do not know.

I'm not sure that if I got home to find my house full of police. That my first thought would be how much damage they'd done in gaining entry. Unless it was edited.

His mother was something else at least the dad was truthful when questioned.
My thoughts are with the victims mum sadly, I know exactly what she is going through.

That Janet was awful. More interested in the front doors than the victim.

I've just spent 2 nights catching up. The chicken shop one was mad. The violence is really shocking, carrying an axe to a fight ffs!
Janet was the sort of mum of wannabe gangsters who think the sun shines out of their arse, all he's a good boy to his old mum shite.

In the first interview he said he hadn't driven his son to London. Only after speaking to his solicitor and being asked whether he would like to change anything he then told the truth. I can't imagine being put in that situation. I don't know why but the only two I felt sorry for was him and the little boy.

rob parkins is SO bad it's insane.
i felt for the boy and his mum - the mum who was in the kitchen. suddenly sunday night is never the same again. just awful.

rob's mum reminded me of frank butchers mum in eastenders.

was a really hideous programme. and they didn't have any time to pad it out with conversation with the CPS like they often do.
awful.

I have read up on the case and the victim had a very good relationship with his older step
Son and had spent the weekend with him and his younger son.
His stepson and his stepsons friends were
Trying their best to stem the bleeding at only 13/14 years of age!

Tonight's episode is horrendous. Heartbreaking and infuriating in equal measure!

Even more sickening is the apparent frequency this happens.

@ILoveYou3000 I'm watching with my heart in my mouth, those poor wee babies. with the wee boy and girl deaths in the news and court just now, its quite timely. I didnt realise how common this is.
And yes heartbreaking too.

how is the mother not sobbing hysterically? I would be destroyed

I’m can’t watch this tonight about the baby shaking story. How can the parents just sit there like normal people?! Only saw 5 minutes and switched off.
How can the police compose themselves dealing with these people? They deserve gold medals.

@HeckinMiffed

She barely even reacted 😳 Just said she didn't know, but there was no emotion there at all!

I thought it was dad with the initial 'no comment' interview but now it looks like it's the mum. That poor poor little boy 😔

@ILoveYou3000 same. The poor wee baby, the officer was reading out his problems and not a tear was spilt. She may have had PND, you never know but jeez the poor kid had part-healed broken ribs so this wasnt the first time.
Its hard viewing.

She's been and had her hair dyed whilst her baby is in hospital in a life threatening condition ... I'm really not sure which one was responsible

How awful was tonight’s cases and the sentence was a joke for what he did to the at baby!
I do think they gotten right parent I think the mum was struggling and maybe PND and he took over and was controlling he showed no emotion
