Fucking hell is anyone watching? Those poor women/girls.

OP posts:
Noeuf · 27/09/2021 22:20

On catch up I’ve missed the first bit: says a bloke released for running a brothel attacked ‘the family’ a few days later ?

Toddlerteaplease · 27/09/2021 22:45

@freshcarnation I did wonder if there was some connection between the nail bar and the brothel.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/09/2021 22:47

@Crazycakelady17

Another thing I thought that was a very nice house nice car and intensive cctv just for someone who works in a nail bar Unless the convicted guy squealed to the police as they are investigating higher up the food chain
I also wonder About that. The whole thing is very odd.
HaveANiceFuckingDay · 27/09/2021 22:49

I was confused as to what he stole at first ?…but when I delved further online he thought it was the hard drive for the cctv but it was actually a games console
So that family must have been deliberately attacked and he knew to take the ‘ cctv hard drive ‘.
Hmmmm I think there’s more to the story or unfortunately mistaken identity. Be interesting to see what sentence is given . They didn’t even confirm what the CPS actually charged him with and what stuck . I know the police charged him with GBH x 2 and robbery and something else, but what charges were actually brought
I’ll have to look this up but I’m sure anything over 4 years In prison is automatically deportation once you’ve served your sentence
Absolutely horrific
Naively he shared the footage online , which to be fair I probably would have done , but not knowing you’d make the offender flee , especially if he’s not from this country
However with all those convictions including sex trafficking he still managed to gain entry here ?

Noeuf · 28/09/2021 07:23

Didn’t he flew the same day? So the footage didn’t matter. It was all a bit weird, I felt like dad had made more progress than the police. I doubt very much that dad was running a trafficking nail bar, why would he go on tv and risk it all being exposed?

RevolvingPivot · 01/10/2021 10:43

The family were obviously expecting something like this would happen.

viques · 01/10/2021 10:51

@scoopydoopy

Didn't even tell us what he had nicked from their house! Why turn up pretending to deliver something. Suggests premeditated. And then not really nick anything.
I thought at one point when they were reviewing the cctv that they thought he had a hard drive, but it looked like a PlayStation or similar to me. Whatever he went for he knew where to look for it.

Agree with others, there was a lot more to the story than was shown, though whatever the back story was the cctv footage was sickening.

GunsNMoses · 01/10/2021 11:44

It was certainly all a bit fishy wasn't it?

NightVinca · 02/10/2021 06:58

I read in a newspaper article about it that he stole a satellite TV decoder, a Nintendo Wii console and another games console.

Maves · 02/10/2021 14:47

This was dodgy af.....I honestly believe the dad knows a lot more...I think him putting the vid on social m was him sabbataging it. There's no way a bloke walks into a house batters 3 women and steals nothing. His sole job that day was to beat those women not steal anything. The dad is suss.

Fizbosshoes · 02/10/2021 14:57

I watched the beginning of it and its horrific how violent he is to the 3 women. I was surprised (although not condoning in any way) at the level of cctv in a residential house!

Chloemol · 02/10/2021 15:00

If you look at one point that horrific offender looks directly at the cctv camera in the hall. I think he thought he took the cctv information

purpleme12 · 04/10/2021 21:53

Episode one was shocking

YouveBeenLittUp · 04/10/2021 22:03

Was anyone watching tonight? I am in beyond disbelief at those sentences!!

Dahliadelight · 04/10/2021 22:07

It was unbelievable how that trial ended up.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 04/10/2021 22:15

@FusciasBright21

I missed the very end credits. Did he actually get convicted of anything in the end? Or is it a two parter?

I'm also suspicious of why the family were targeted! Can't believe they had so many CCTV cameras on and in their house too!

I think there was an awful lot more to this than was shown. It wasn't a random attack.

It was so violent, I'm still thinking about it now.

Toddlerteaplease · 04/10/2021 22:18

His on Earth where they found not guilty?!

CausingChaos2 · 04/10/2021 23:08

How does that defence lawyer sleep at night - very smugly, no doubt.

I wonder if the episode was chosen to show up these people for what they are.

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 04/10/2021 23:17

Was it a 2-parter? Have I missed the second half? Agreed - definitely way more to that dad than meets the eye

StormyCornishSeas · 04/10/2021 23:21

I watched on catch up the other day. The whole thing was so brutal. I was very disappointed by the ending I wish they had waited until after 7th October to air the programme so that they could say what the verdict is.

Killergigglebunnies · 04/10/2021 23:25

WRT to last weeks being suss. The nail bar only takes cash. He probably had loads of cash and it was taken when the guy took the ‘box’. The reason he probably didn’t want that mentioning as he’d have HMRC and immigration sniffing around.
The one tonight was so obvious it was drugs. There’s more chicken shops in Luton than residents. It’s a local joke. Everyone knows what’s going on.

cosmopolitanplease · 05/10/2021 21:55

I was shocked at the sentences in this week's. It made me wonder if someone had got to the jury Hmm

RevolvingPivot · 05/10/2021 22:42

Also noticed the chicken shop only accepts cash. I wonder why they aren't investigated for money laundering?

Killergigglebunnies · 06/10/2021 00:43

Because the chicken shops aren’t ‘chicken shops’. A lot of them have awful ratings. They don’t care as they’re business isn’t the restaurant trade, they’re dealing.

MacMahon · 06/10/2021 08:29

I don't think that there was much of an interesting case here. I think the whole programme was to shed light on the criminal justice system and, possible, corruption.
