Why would the cps not move ahead with charges with one witness pulling out when they have so many other witnesses/victms willing to testify?

It's so shit Coco like their testimony is only worth 1/10th of someone else.

Second part is next week not tomorrow.

Sadly as the victims are all known criminals do not the most reliable witnesses cps are wary but I agree with so many I hope they get justice they were products of there childhoods,

I hope they get justice this was a hard watch for me as I took my childhood abuser to court four years ago it was hardest thing I have ever done and I didn’t have the judgment of being a “undesirable criminal” them poor boys

Re the chicken shop one, what struck me was the policeman’s comments at the end which were along the lines of if the truth had come out, then it would have been very different outcomes at trial. That would really grate me as a policeman knowing that and also wtf did that mean??

Just watched part 2. I feel sick about what he did to those children. The police officers did a good job in bringing him to justice. Especially with the man who had already been to court once and he got away with it

So glad the bastard got a good sentence not that it changes the affect it has had on those poor victims but he can’t hurt anymore vunerable children
Very triggering for me tonight but glad those police officers moved heaven and earth to get some kind of justice

Interesting how 9 more victims came forward after the trial.

The sheer amount of devastation he caused and evaded justice for such a long time. Its sickening

22 years was a decent outcome under the circumstances. Carson was never going to get what he deserved but I bet he wasn't expecting that.
Scary to see how quickly he adjusted his abusing after Victim I (look at how young he looks in those photos) he soon learnt how to select unbelievable victims.

9 will only be a fraction of his true number, more will be unable to report or no longer around to report.
I wonder how many times people did report and no further action.
It must built Carson's confidence.

Maybe after last night’s program even more will come forward. So sad the lad committed suicide Sad goes to show how much these kids lives have been effected into adulthood, their families included and the crimes committed.

I thought it was 9 more victims had come forward since the first episode was shown last week.

That was a really difficult watch. I am so full of admiration for that wonderfully brave, articulate and emotionally intelligent woman who gave evidence against him. So raw. I cried.

So difficult to watch the police joking and bantering with him.

It was a really hard watch but gave such insight into the work to take it to trial and the bravery of those that gave evidence.

Crazycakelady I am so sorry that you experienced that and that this show triggered you Flowers This one in particular has really stuck with me because of how vulnerable his victims were and just how many there were. I'm glad he was found guilty. I hope all those victims ate able to move forward. Rest in peace Michael Murray Flowers

It just goes to show you never really know someone. He didn't seem affected by it at all. He was even joking with the police.

It's dreadful that he took advantage of those boys and gave them alcohol and drugs but that poor girl. She was supposed to feel safe and protected at home.

She was incredible, I really think she was key to getting his conviction. I don't know that she'll have got any peace from the whole process but I really hope she does.

Watching it now. Is it normal to send armed police and arrest the parents like that?
