New thread!

Why would Canada send Serena back to Gilead? They want to prosecute her for war crimes.

I meant how can they trust the information Fred feeds back once he is back in Gilead?

Crinkle77 · 15/08/2021 22:07

@MotionActivatedDog

Shock

Fred has turned on Gilead!

Of course. What other choice did Fred have?
OverByYer · 15/08/2021 22:08

Omg omg

Formaldeheidi · 15/08/2021 22:09

The very last scene really resonated with me and I’m sure it’ll resonate with millions of other women too.

twitchyyellow · 15/08/2021 22:10

Surely if they go back to gilead, everyone will smell a rat as they know Canada wouldn't just let them go...

WitchSharkadder · 15/08/2021 22:10

Oh I really felt June's anger then. Sad

GrandPrismatic · 15/08/2021 22:10

Urgh urgh urgh bigger fish??? Who exactly are the bigger fish in Gilead??

I’ve just watched the episode 10 trailer & it doesn’t give anything away.

WitchSharkadder · 15/08/2021 22:12

The Waterfords will not be going back to Gilead, they'll be given immunity in Canada, possibly with conditions about staying in the country and co-operating with whatever the governments asks of them.

It was kind of nice to see all the original characters in one episode again, even Warren & Naomi.

Crinkle77 · 15/08/2021 22:14

Tuello will have his eye on the bigger prize. As distasteful as it us Fred's freedom could spell the beginning of the end for Gilead. It's like in Northern Ireland where terrorists were freed as part of the peace agreement. That decision was disgusting in the eyes of some but to others the end justified the means and that end was peace.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 15/08/2021 22:14

So Fred realised that Gilead weren't going to support him so he's singing like a canary to keep home self and his son alive. I don't think he's really bothered about Serena... but his actions have just saved her going to Colonjes too.

Loved all the Christian symbolism in tonight's episode. That Last Supper layout was fantastic. The Mary Magdalene plaque, there was a picture of Jesus being betrayed I the background above Nicks head too.

The rain stopped in Serena's cell too. The sun came out...

OverByYer · 15/08/2021 22:15

Lots of loose ends to tie up next week

WitchSharkadder · 15/08/2021 22:16

June will be gunning for Fred if he stays in Canada though, she was hell bent on revenge as it was so him being free will tip her over the edge. Do you think she'll kill him? It's certainly possible, she's done it before.

He'll be smug thinking he's 'safe' because he's always fucking smug and won't even consider June coming for him.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 15/08/2021 22:18

Sickening to watch a rapist walk free.

EachandEveryone · 15/08/2021 22:18

Is it the last one ever next week?

Crinkle77 · 15/08/2021 22:20

No. Series 5 is in the pipeline.

DHandInterview · 15/08/2021 22:21

I was so anxious watching that scene with Nick, I was sure they were going to be ambushed.

If Nick is married now, does that mean he will have a handmaid as well?

Yep.

If Nick is married now, does that mean he will have a handmaid as well?

Or a fertile young wife like Esther. I would imagine that was his reward for the bombing raid on Chicago

@WitchSharkadder that’s what I’m thinking too!

Have they ever specified how it works with Handmaids exactly?

I'm sure his wife will be really young like his first one was, but at what point are handmaids assigned to commanders? Do they get a period, a year for example, to try for their own babies first? And then if not successful they get given a handmaid? Or do they get the handmaid straight away in the hopes that they will have double the chance of a baby?

KimDeals · 15/08/2021 22:27

Oh my god that episode was amazing. Oh Nick!!!

gingercat81 · 15/08/2021 22:29

@CloseYourEyesAndSee

Aww Luke is being lovely
I don't think he is being lovely, I think it's showing that he can manipulate too and he's willing to use nichole and June as pawns to get what he wants. I think it shows that perhaps he doesn't really care about them and only wants Hannah, once he has her he will disregard June. He's showing he can manipulate and use people for his own means too.
Clawdy · 15/08/2021 22:32

Poor Luke, whatever he does, someone on here will have a go at him. I too thought he was lovely tonight.
