New 6 part thriller - mon and tue for the next 3w

A snap decision at a party at a brewery has shocking repercussions for Anna Nancy cat and Louie

Owner Eddie put his son jack in charge. Jack is a bully

The 4 ladies decide to teach him a lesson and bundle him into. Car and leave in the woods as a prank

But then Jack is found dead and the 4 ladies make a pact to tell no one

Tensions will rise and secrets will appear

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2021 08:17

She left when jack was a baby

Or did I imagine that

OP posts:
butterpuffed · 25/05/2021 08:27

I thought Nancy was Jack's killer [going back into the woods for a wee excuse] but now Anna has discovered she's the blackmailer, I'm not so sure. Too early to tie it all up neatly , there episodes to go .

Wasn't sure about this drama to start with but quite invested now !!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2021 08:28

Yes def hinted it was Nancy

But guessing anyone could have followed them

OP posts:
SleepingStandingUp · 25/05/2021 08:50

The you owe me could link to Mom. It's unusual Mom leaves a young child never to be seen again without something linking it, otherwise they kill them off.

Nancy seems obvious but I'm hoping she's too obvious iyswim

AngryMuppet · 25/05/2021 13:06

Yes, she left when Jack was v young but died of cancer 5 (?) years previously. So they actually have killed her off. Maybe something went on with that and made Jack hate Arwel?

I def don't think Nancy is the killer. She looked dodgy before, looks dodgier now, but I'm convinced she is 'just' the blackmailer.

Longdistance · 25/05/2021 14:32

Maybe the phone belongs to Richard. The ladies had each other’s numbers.

woodhill · 25/05/2021 15:32

@augustusglupe

It’s Steve Baldini!!
😀 plus Louie formerly Susan the police officer.

Is there a shortage of actors in Wales

JustDanceAddict · 25/05/2021 15:51

@Longdistance

Maybe the phone belongs to Richard. The ladies had each other’s numbers.
I said that, but it could be a burner phone.
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2021 16:43

I don’t think it’s Richards phone. I think it’s hers. She deposited the money. Bet she went back for it

Plus new drama thriller starting tomorow if you fancy it

before we die

OP posts:
SophieB100 · 25/05/2021 17:58

The scriptwriter for this used to write for Eastenders.
It's got that 'soapy' kind of feel.
I'm enjoying it.
I loved Max when he was Warren in This Life, not as much as Miles...showing my age now Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2021 19:37

Def has ages better. Didnt like him or fancy him as dale

But in finding faith and gangs of London

Blondes fans herself

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2021 21:58

Omg. I didn’t know max was Warren in this life

How Weird to have Warren and dale brothers in this together

So someone has lost his job and gambled away his redundancy and assets

That's how he got his black eye

And why she blackmailed her friends

To get her car back

Arwel 😢😢😢

So now Louie , she has lost her nephew and brother. The business will go to her ..........

Glad Anna told them Nancy was blackmailing them so they don't worry any more

Tho I would be so pissed off if I were Anna

Police /max know it's was Nancy's car in the pic of cctv

Hence the blue flashing lights

A bit slow compared to last night worh repeat flashbacks but ok

Roll on last 2 next week

OP posts:
Buggerthebotox · 25/05/2021 22:11

Ooh... it's good.

I wonder if Nance will cop off with Baldini?

So Louie has a motive for offing her nephew (assuming she stands to inherit the business).

Felt quite sorry for Ade there.... and black eye explained.

Looking forward to next week - trying not to weaken and binge the rest.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2021 22:39

I wasn’t sorry for him

He gambled away thousands of pounds

Redundancy would have been a lot

Plus savings

Watching it now

As soon as Richard left the house she rang his office (I don't think she had suspicions of redundancy then) you'd go give it to him!

Also it occurred to me if this was filmed during covid (cos it mentions lockdown) why wasn't it filmed with social distancing? I thought you had to?

Italiangreyhound · 26/05/2021 04:31

Blondeshavemorefun Yes, Warren in this life. And 'Steve Baldini' was in that too.

Love this, the drama was brill, watched it all! DH can't keep up, fell asleep and I took my chance to watch to the end!!

AngryMuppet · 26/05/2021 04:43

@BuggerTheBotox

So Louie has a motive for offing her nephew (assuming she stands to inherit the business).

I thought about this too, but wouldn't she need to have gambled her luck on being able to push Arwel to suicide? Although she knew exactly how to hurt him worst, it seems a vvv dark way to solve being disinherited.

Does this mostly end the questions of the abuse? It really was a sort of line of abuse?

I hate Richard but I'm struggling to explain why...just seems like such a joyless bastard even though addiction is a disease. Suspect that's personal though, stuff about debt/unemployment always really bugs me so maybe hating him is my way to cope Grin

Buggerthebotox · 26/05/2021 07:25

@purpleme12 yes it was filmed during lockdown and I gather that there was lots of on and off-set bubbling required prior to/ during the filming.

Quite an achievement under the circumstances.

Buggerthebotox · 26/05/2021 07:33

I found the timeline confusing last night. The scene between Nance and Richard where the car was sized by the Bailiff was a flashback? In my mind, the car being seized was not a Nissan and the car we saw later on the image WAS a Nissan.Confused.

I may need to watch again. Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/05/2021 08:15

Yes it said 6w earlier or was it 12

OP posts:
SophieB100 · 26/05/2021 08:30

It was six weeks earlier - kind of filling in the gaps to show why Nancy did what she did - what led up to it.

Impressive! I suppose it’s just for a limited time, not like soaps, so they have to maintain SD properly.

It’s not that daft. Maybe she thought she’d let him know as he may be worried he’d lost it? ‘Don’t worry, I’ve got your phone.’ Also, His work may have been a longer drive away and she had to go to work too so she wouldn’t have time to get it to him.
purpleme12 · 26/05/2021 09:13

It's just my opinion, my thoughts when I watched the show
